I don't live in the area but definitely fell in love the first and only time I ate there. I would have had my birthday dinner there when I visited on 4/30/2021 however, the ignorant staff that closed that night will certainly keep me away. Not only were we harassed by an employee about what time would we were picking up food, four minutes after ordering, that same employee also called three minutes later to confirm which way were paying because they wanted to close and lock the doors, as well as the registers. The restaurant closes at 10pm. The order was placed at 9:47pm. When we pulled up, we were still on the phone being harassed by the employee with her hair to the floor (I'm sure that's a health code violation). From outside we could clearly see her expressing whatever issue she had with our surprise at both phone calls to rush us to pick up our food, 10 minutes before close. After her rant, she quickly scurried to the back before we could enter. After the doors were unlocked, before close, we asked to speak with a manager. A curly haired, rather short man, said he was the manager. This man will ruin your business. I have never witnessed such unethical behavior from a so-called manager in a customer service position. Not only did he not end his phone call that he was on when we walked in as they were counting down the register before close, he also did not place whomever he was on the phone with on hold, he replied with only the word "okay", after we expressed our concern with the girl on the phone. He rolled his eyes as if he did not care and did not want to be bothered. He literally stood and listened with his arm resting on the cashier as if he needed to be sure to be relaxing while we spoke. My sister very calmly explained the issue in hopes that we would just receive some empathy about the situation. After the "okay", I spoke up. I asked if that was all he had to say about the situation. He continued attempted to say that he told us that it was inappropriate for her to call in a very condescending manner. That of course was a lie as I'm not deaf and the word okay is very easy to understand. We then asked for the GM and he said he was the GM and now also part owner. I am sure that the other half of this business does not know how this man behaves. At that point I was fuming and asked how in the world he conducts business this way. No remorse, empathy or even a slight amount of concern came from this little man. He then began raising his voice and talking over us. To which point, I expressed my anger and followed suit. This manager, in front his entire staff, raised his voice even higher and gave even more attitude. He also snatched the bag off the table and would not let us buy the food. Yes, after all of this, I still wanted my food. He literally engaged with us as if he was on the street ready to fight. At this point, laying him out in the middle of that restaurant would have been a joy. My sister told her husband about the issue and he said it sounded like the same man that had given him issues before. I have never been so disgusted at customer service. I have been in the field for over twenty years as has my sister. I could not believe his condescending tone and on top of that had the nerve to raise his little voice and have the worst attitude. When you speak to him he will tell you that I cursed him, and he will not be lying. Please know as a customer service representative myself, this would never be behavior that I would willingly exhibit to another peer without cause. I hope that you all watch the cameras from that day so you can see exactly how, when, and who escalated that situation. I ended up getting some crab legs from some other restaurant. They were horrible. I will not revisit this establishment as long as this man is employed/involved. I will find out his name. I will also post this review anywhere that I am allowed. Read moreI love seafood but this restaurant is a huge no. I ordered their "must try" crab dip- and it's a definite skip. Half the crab dip was a "melted cheese" topping. Once you dig through the cold cheese the dip itself is flavorless and the chips have a weird texture. I also ordered a corn bread that was both dry and soggy at the same time. The top layer was dry enough (even after spreading the melted butter) to leave me thirsty and the bottom layer was what tasted like old corn kernels. They were so soggy it made the bottom of the cornbread wet. Not moist- wet. Finally I ordered their regular $40 crab boil bag with their house crab sauce and it was just gross. The shrimp were over cooked little stones that has a super fishy taste, the corn on the cob was absolutely rotten even though im sure it was a frozen corn on the cob that was also overcooked and mushy. The bag claimed to come with 1 sausage but they only give you a piece of sausage which is the equivalent of 1 bite. The crab itself didn't taste fishy but it definitely wasn't the best I've ever had and finally the sauce lacked flavor and spice even though I ordered their house mix with a medium spice level. Oh and to top it off their speciality lemonade was flat and they had no lemons prepared - at a seafood restaurant. Overall just a no, will not be returning and do not suggest anyone else waste...
Read moreMy mom and I came here for the first time and it was so BAD! $98 later and I wanted to puke after it was gross. we ordered the crab lovers to share with the Louisiana sauce which we were told is like an old bay sauce. When it came out the sauce tasted like cold SpaghettiOs soup base and I bit into the crab and it was FROZEN! I sent it back saying it was all cold and also the sauce was gross and asked it to be remade with the garlic butter instead. They brought out the EXACT SAME BAG WE HAD!!! Same sauce even missing the one egg I took a bite out of and left on my plate like seriously. Still cold and disgusting I’ve never had such bad seafood in my life. My mom decided we would just eat it and never come back then she opens her first potato and it was ROTTEN straight up black in the middle after that we just paid and left. Service was fine I guess we waited 15 min for someone just to get our check and we told the waiter specifically the new order and didn’t seem like she even bothered to tell the kitchen or the kitchen didn’t care idk but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
