Tokyo Express — Restaurant in Virginia

The online name says Tokyo Express but it is not this is a rip off of Tokyo Express their actual name is Express Tokyo. Save you money go down the road to a real Tokyo Express it would get much better quality of food or go to miyabi's. Save your money go elsewhere.

The service was quick but the food was very subpar. The white sauce that gave me tasted funny and it was very gritty like sandpaper and had an off color ended up making my own homemade white sauce they also use a medium grain rice versus long grain but each is to their own I myself just don't like to texture of medium grain rice It's like eating dirt they give you shaved beef versus chunks of bees if you want chunks of beef you have to order New York strip that looks very unappealing on their menu and it's overpriced for the size

They're pretty much gave me Philly cheesesteak meat on rice...

Possibly the best cheap sushi you can get in Williamsburg (like less than $5 rolls). Always fresh and tasty. Their yakisoba is pretty okay, but I mainly come here when I want buttloads of cheap sushi lol. NOT OPEN ON SUNDAYS!

I recommend the Godzilla specialty roll not listed on their menu board, which is tuna, cream cheese, and avocado, then tempura deep fried (like $6!), Their spicy tuna rolls (always nice and fresh and crunchy), and their shrimp tempura rolls.

Thought I would give this place a try based on some other reviews and the price for some of the sushi rolls. I am not one bit disappointed. The rolls tasted fresh and plenty of flavor, could use a little more spice but overall I was very impressed. I have since ordered several more times and each time they always live up to the expectations.
