Came in to check-out the 'new place' in town, the first impressions were good. The atmosphere was good and the staff/servers were friendly. Something to note, there were several servers wearing sweaters and light coats as it was noticeably cold in the restaurant. Taking a look at the drink menu, noticed there were no beers from Texas on the menu, left me to ponder... is Texas in the name just for marketing or does this really represent a true Texas roadhouse. My wife and I were there for a late lunch, so I just ordered a pull pork sandwich, the server was friendly and made sure we were acquainted with the Texas roadhouse menu. Once our meal was brought to the table the food presentation was poor and the sandwich portion was very disappointing. I had to ask for extra BBQ sauce for taste, the sandwich made me regret not ordering a cup of Texas Red bean chili as a starter. We plan to revisit again for dinner in hopes a steak and potatoes meal would improve our dining experience and value. So far everything looked and felt a the typical commercial and corporate chain restaurant. Update: as mentioned previously, we returned for a evening dinner dining experience to see if the quality and value would improve. Once again the staff and server were great; friendly, attentive, prompt, and more. Dining out should include the whole experience of great people along with good drinks and great food, unfortunately this was not the case. Our review score did not improve and should have worsened not for the pleasant server. I ordered to perfect comfort food for a cold winters day to warm and fill the body, 'Beef Tips' that includes grilled mushrooms/onions and creamy gravy on a bed of mash potatoes. The portions improved, although the food presentation was very poor once again. Food was presented on a dirty, messy plate with gravy and grease prints smeared all over. The food was luke warm at best, and the cuts of beef were very tough. My wife's meal was cooked at the wrong temp requested. Another very disappointing dinning experience.

High cost for a mediocre experience: I ordered the Fort Worth 10oz Ribeye Special, clearly advertised at $34.98, and was instead overcharged $39.47 before "loading" my mashed potatoes for another $1.49. A comparable 8oz sirloin and ribs with a salad and sweet potato was considerably less, at $27.99. For drinks, we had the tall Michelob $8, tall Blood Orange $10.75, and the "Legend Margarita" for $13 composed of mostly ice & no perceptible alcohol (for the birthday girl). The steak was cooked as ordered, and arrived looking small and thin -not at all impressive for the bigger steak option plastered at the entrance (pictured). The place was loud, and the AC was blasting on an already cool evening. Fellow customers were covering themselves with the provided cloth napkins to try to keep the chill off exposed necks and legs. This considerably detracted from the experience for everyone at my table. To her credit, our server checked in on us a few times and relayed that she would request that the manager adjust the AC. I believe our party of 6 otherwise received their individual orders correctly. The discrepancy of the bill, while relatively minor in amount, in combination with high-priced / absent alcohol, and abrasive environment made for a disappointing overall experience. This was my first, and will likely be my final visit to a "Texas Roadhouse". I won't be tempted to recommend it to anyone.

As a professional food critic, I had the pleasure of experiencing the new and hot Texas Roadhouse in Visalia, and I must say, it did not disappoint! Make sure you use the wait list before you go! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the most amazing service. The staff were all smiles and made me feel right at home. I couldn't help but notice the incredible aroma wafting from the kitchen - my stomach growled in anticipation! First up, the hot buns. They were so fresh and warm, straight out of the oven, and had a perfect touch of buttery goodness. I could've eaten a whole basket of those buns all by myself! And let's not forget the sweet tea - it was the perfect accompaniment to the meal, with just the right amount of sweetness. Now, let's talk about the main course. The steak was cooked to perfection, with a nice sear on the outside and a juicy, tender center. The sides were equally delicious, with creamy mashed potatoes and crispy fried onions that added a nice crunch to every bite. Overall, I have to say that Texas Roadhouse in Visalia is a real winner. The amazing service with a smile, the hot buns, and the delicious food make for an unbeatable combination. So, whether you're a local or just passing through, be sure to stop by and enjoy some good ol' Texas hospitality!

Google really needs to allow selecting no stars because that’s what this place deserves. First off our server Jamie was doing the best he could so the one star on service is not because of him. Our food took over an hour to come out. We received our appetizer before we even got bread or any drinks.

We were told our food was at the window and could be seen so it would be right here. Then it took probably another 20 min to get to our table. When it finally arrived all 3 steaks at our table of four were overcooked. The two kids just ate theirs because they were starving and didn’t want to complain (they ordered med rare steaks were med well and tough) but my boyfriends steak was maybe a 1/2” thick and was so overcooked and dry to the point it looked gray. He ordered medium and sent it back. The waiter stated the cook was on it right away because we had already waited over a hour.

The three us of basically finished eating all while this “rushed steak” was never brought out. Then we were told again sorry it’s coming and so is the manager. At that point we were going to tell the manager look every single steak was actually overcooked so there is a big issues here with quality and the workers ability to cook steaks at a STEAKHOUSE. We were so frustrated we just wanted the bill so we could go since it was already almost 10pm. We were told two more times the manager was coming and again she never did. The steak was finally brought out and boxed up and we paid and left, because we were done waiting for this manager to show up.

It’s insane to me that a manager is told about an unhappy customer and still makes no priority to come speak to them. Sure they removed his meal, but the bill was still $170 for dry overcooked steaks. With all three steak meals overcooked we should have just been done at that point, paid for our appetizer and drinks and went somewhere else. My chicken was the only thing cooked correctly and it was the least expensive meal on our ticket. Leaving dinner at 10pm and all my boyfriend got to eat was a baked potato and some green beans. Definitely never coming here again. Horrible food, horrendous and unacceptable service. Visalia deserved something better than Texas Roadhouse or at least an owner and managers who care about quality food and exceptional service. We work hard for our money and to just waste it on horrible food when we were trying to enjoy time as a family and have a good meal together. Instead the night was...

My hubby & I are not new to eating at Texas Roadhouse as we are from the East Coast & TR is a popular place to dine. We were very excited to see this location being built & finally got around to dining in this past week! But knowing how TR is/should be, we were very disappointed with our visit :(

First, I have been craving a frozen Sangria-Margarita for MONTHS now & couldn't get the drink frozen due to the machine or however its made wasn't working. Not the biggest deal, I tried it on ice instead but it just wasn't the same.

Second, the rolls are typically sweeter? Have more of that sweet buttery coating on top? Still delicious, but was missing that omg factor.

Third, we ordered Cheese fries as our appetizer & when it came out, it was missing bacon bits. No biggie, we spoke up & it was fixed right away.

Fourth, the hubby ordered a smothered sirloin with mushrooms/onions, side of ribs, & doubled up on the broccoli & I ordered a sirloin with grilled shrimp & broccoli & mashed potatoes. --the issue wasn't the food itself as our meals were delicious as always, the issue was once again not receiving ALL of what we had ordered :( when our server Nikki came around to ask if we needed anything, we were digging in & distracted by our daughter (6 mo) & gave a thumbs up. But as she walked away, my hubby then realized his steak was not smothered. Easy fix again, we flagged down a gentleman who kindly brought us a side of the mushrooms/onions & we went on to finally enjoy our meal. Being consumed with my daughter, I didn't realize until afterwards that I never received my grilled shrimp! SUPER BUMMED about it.

We declined dessert, Hubby paid by kiosk, & we left.

I was very disappointed with this visit due to our orders not being prepared properly. I hope TR can be more diligent in checking orders before bringing them out so it doesn't happen again. (Especially because we paid for food we didn't even receive).

Like I stated above, the food itself was delicious, but knowing how things should be, it was an...
