My husband and I decided to grab dinner. One couldn’t possibly go wrong with Mexican food, so with a google search we found Velasco’s. I had orders a carne asada burrito with onion and cilantro, my husband got a rice, bean and cheese burrito. Well first off the chef and whomever took the phone order must have taken my order very literal. When I bit into my burrito it was just carne asada, onion and cilantro. Maybe I was wrong, but when I think of a carne asada burrito I think beans, rice, meat, and others. My husbands burrito was cold. The cheese wasn’t melted and about 90% rice. I was shocked at how unappetizing the food was. We are definitely not the type of people to complain about food. We had to throw our dinner away, because we just couldn’t power through. This was genuinely bad Mexican food. Sad part for us was that the place got such great reviews, and the restaurant wasn’t busy from what I could see. We will be seeking our Mexican cravings someplace...

Don't miss Velasco's if you find yourself in the area! From the moment we sat down it was an explosion of flavors and aromas. The chips are light, crispy, dusted lightly with a chili-lime seasoning. Not at all overpowering. The salsa was chunky and fresh and more like pico de gallo than salsa. We had chunky guacamole, chili's relleno, shredded beef enchiladas and everything was excellent. The red chili sauce on the enchiladas reminded me of New Mexico. The guacamole reminded me of my house. The service was gracious and prompt and we found the prices reasonable and the portion sizes generous. There was a pretty good crowd for lunch time. The secret must be out. I wouldn't...

Best chips and salsa ever! The chips are seasoned, so warning: they're addicting! Best flavor in the ground beef tacos! Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. Edited: That was 10 months ago ....we ate there many times before the pandemic - always good, always so inexpensive! In the last couple of weeks we've ordered so many times through GrubHub that I'm going to have to buy the monthly pass for free delivery! Same delicious food tastes even better! We always order enough for 2 nights. Our last driver was so careful that there wasn't a spill or splash on any of the 8 items! Thanks for making life easier...

Very clean resturant and friendly staff. Definitely coming back : ) Edit: After tasting what I ordered, chicken taquitos with rice and beans, it was the best flavor in this valley. It is rare that mexican food around here needs to be drenched in salsa to make up for the cheap ingredients ( Thats why I stick to taco bell as I know what I am getting ). This place is that exception. I have not done many reviews for visalia for a reason. None for hanford and lemoore. You can tell in lemoore and hanford that city council is a bunch of gangsters that only want big business money.

This was our first time here. I enjoyed the abondigas soup. The chile rellano was flavorful, but spicy. The shredded beef taco was my favorite part of the meal. The beans were good but really salty for my pallet. I expected more from the rice. It was bland and crunchy, like it had been sitting in a pan for a while. We ordered a ham breakfast burrito to go, which we had the next day, and it was good. Overall, everything was just okay.

This place was amazing! Bartender was awesome, service was perfect! Server was very attentive and polite. Best margarita I’ve had in years seriously! We searched Google Maps to find a Mexican restaurant that was close by our hotel that was top rated and they did not let us down. I had the tostada dinner and my husband had the carne asada bowl which could have been a meal for two it was so stuffed full of steak and all the fixens!
