If I could give this 0 stars I would. As a previous employee and manager of Bahama Bucks in Waco Texas, I would not advise anyone to go to this establishment. Itâs actually disgusting and Iâm so glad I can speak out about this now. There are constantly roaches and crickets floating around INSIDE of the sugar water used to make all of your favorite snow cone flavors. There have been mice and rats crawling around in the back numerous times during the 3 years I worked there, none of the employees wash there hands even periodically, there have been bugs in the smoothie station (OFTEN), and lastly the new ownership is awful. The most unprofessional encounter I have ever had with someone who is supposed to be running a successful business. Before Aaron Rawls started owning Bahama Bucks I had no complaints from anyone at Bahama Bucks. Now all of a sudden I am getting fired WITHOUT explanation or reasons. I asked Aaron multiple times what the reasons were and all he could say was that was my last shift. I bent over backwards for that job for three years when I could have been making more money and doing better things but no, i stuck around only to get the worst treatment U have ever gotten as an employee. It was clear he favored other managers and gave them special treatment that I never got. I was never included in manager conversations or decisions when really that is the least that i should be included in. It was very clear from the start he wasnât fond of me and that makes me think that is the reason I got fired. Bahama Bucks waco lost their most seasoned employee because the new owner didnât like me and couldnât toughen up. I was given what looked like a regular flat top. I asked the girl in the drive through lane if this was a large, as with a flat top they size up. She told me âYes, that is our largeâsâ. I went back tonight and ordered a small and regular flat top. I was given two of the same size of what I got last night. The guy at the drive through apologized and gave me what was actually supposed to be the large flat top, which I did not get last night even after asking the girl if that was a large. This is not the first time I have questioned the size that we received, but the first time I have actually asked about it and was lied to (which we have apparently been given the wrong sizes before).    Read moreThe acai bowl was good, but 50% if it was just granola and toppings and the rest was the actual acai. The bowl was very tiny and the employees weren't very great. I felt uninvited as the workers weren't very friendly. I also felt ignored and dismissed. I was waiting at the order table, made eye contact with an employee, yet no one ever came. The couple behide me even left due to there being no service. I was then informed ,after I asked if they were closed, that they were talking orders at the pick up area. My husband waited 20+ minutes for them not even to be started. I went up to an employee and asked if they had been working on the acai bowl and they employee said "I will get started on it." Overall, the service wasn't that great. I got some attitude from an employee went i asked about the bowl. 10 dollars for a very tiny bowl of acai is not worth it. Don't get from here.
