Well, well, well. I've got to say that good old "Mickey D's", with their long held reputation for not being very good quality as a fast food chain has finally stopped "clowning around", and finally got rid of that pink paste stuff they used to use in place of actual hamburger meat. So, yes... they have stepped up their game at ALL the McDonald's locations around the United States (to my knowledge), and the hamburgers now taste better for it. And, unlike many years ago, you can get the Quarter Pounder with lettuce, tomato, and onions on it. In the past, McDonald's used to only put meat, cheese, ketchup and mustard with barely a trace of onions. Plus, with newer items like their cinnamon roll, there's some new choices. So, forget their old reputation as a fast food chain from decades past. They have improved the overall quality somewhat nowadays, and as a result, I think I'd recommend people give them a second look. Yes, granted... It's still just fast food. And, no one should ever expect too much out of any fast food chain, no matter what. But, the fact remains that the new changes for the better that Mc D's made to their hamburgers now makes them a much more viable contender that is on par with all their fast food competitors. In decades past, I don't feel that I could have said the same about any Mc Donald's location anywhere. My only minor complaint with this particular location is the 3 window set-up (1 payment window, and 2 pick up windows) gets a bit confusing as to whether or not pick-up window #2 is for picking up drinks only, and pick-up window #3 is for the food, or what their specific system they have in place is for that. The worker just walked off before answering our question about that. So, we were just left to sit for a bit at window #2, and wonder about that. But, yes... we did get all our food in the end, and it was good. All in all, I give 4, maybe even 4 and half stars out of 5 for this McDonald's location.
EDIT: Due to recent obnoxiously persistent solicitors at this location bugging customers (like me) coming into the dining room when you're just trying to sit there and eat your food in peace, I'm now deducting one star off of my original review from a few years ago. So, It's now a 3 star review rather than 4. The manager there REALLY needs to get a hold on the problem of these panhandlers and solicitors hanging out in the dining room or on the property in a MUCH more quicker manner. No paying customer deserves to have to put up with such a problem from such transients trying so persistently and obnoxiously to pull scams or panhandle on the customers on or inside of the...
Read moreI'd also give this McDonald's an average rating. There is usually a line, and it usually doesn't move very fast. They have a dual drive thru, but it doesn't really speed things up. Ordering Curbside to skip the line won't help, as I've had to wait more than 10 minutes more than once for my order. If they don't have a line, you're more likely to have a good experience, but if they're busy and you're short on time, I would go somewhere else. Just where they have the curbside is not the best place-it's right when you pull in, to the right, so their workers have to face incoming traffic to get your food to you, and it's far from the building. And then to exit, you have to go all the way around the building to exit. I would suggest moving it.
Just based on my anecdotal experience, the McDonald's north of I-96 near Sam's Club and Wal-Mart will get you better prepared food and faster service, but it's more work to get there, and if you're traveling and passing by, this McDonald's is fine and will suit you. If you live in the area and are stopping by or are ordering thru a delivery app and you have the choice, pick the McDonald's near Sam's.
Never had a really bad experience, but never a great one....
Read moreIf i could give a 0 on this review I would. I visited this location on Monday 05/30/2022 around 10:30 am and I went thru the drive thru. I sat at the speaker with no greeting watching car after car go by in the other line. I said hello and the man on the speaker said hold please. I continued to watch car after car and said hello again and asked if there was a reason I wasn't being helped. He told me if I was going to be rude and inpatient to leave. I was furious. It was so unprofessional. I stayed and placed my order. I ordered a # 3 with pickle and cheese only with a large frozen coke, a strawberry banana smoothie, a McChicken and a small Carmel frappe. I had to repeat it 3X and when i got the window the rude young man had my sandwich wrong. He walked a way and a woman came up and said i would have to drive around and get back in line to have my sandwich fixed with no pickle. I left. I have never experienced such rude customer service and they enjoyed making me upset. They both claimed to be Managers. I will never visit this location again and they should not be employed if they cant handle working...
