Bartholomew Winery in Walla Walla is a must-visit for any wine enthusiast! Their signature Carmenère and Cabernet Franc are phenomenal, and the Rosé of Primitivo is absolutely superb! Every wine is a testament to the winemaker’s artistry, showcasing balance, depth, and character in every sip. Not only are the wines incredibly affordable for the quality, but the staff is also fantastic. They are highly knowledgeable about each wine, where the fruit is sourced, and even offer great pairing suggestions. Their passion for winemaking is evident, making the tasting experience even more enjoyable. If you're in Walla Walla, do yourself a favor and visit Bartholomew Winery. The winemaker is a true artist, and you’ll walk away not just with incredible wine, but a deeper appreciation for the craft.

Having been members at Bartholomew Winery for years we were excited to visit their Walla Walla tasting room. It's tucked in on 2nd Avenue, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, shops and more tasting rooms. But Bartholomew stands out for their unique varietals, eschewing bordeaux varietals for those from Tuscany and elsewhere in Italy - Primitivo, Tannat, Graciano, Sagrantino, Counoise and others. What really sets them apart is their price point. More affordable than most and absolutely delicious. The newish tasting room is comfortable but not pretentious, much like Bart's wine!

We love Bartholomew winery and their wines are superb. They have some unusual varietals and they keep their prices very reasonable. The wines are every bit as good as bottles that cost much more. We’ve been going to visit Bartholomew since the days they were in Seattle, about 12 years, and it’s one of our favorites. Not sure if he still gets the grapes in the pictured bottle because this photo is from probably 11 years ago, but that is one example of a fantastic, but unusual, varietal.
