While the food maintained its usual high standards, the service unfortunately fell well short of expectations, particularly from the young man stationed at the front. It appeared that one staff member was left to juggle the responsibilities of preparing the assortment of rice, beans, protein, and other sides singlehandedly, even as three of his colleagues idled at the register, engrossed in conversation, oblivious to the growing queue of around 15 waiting customers.
The slow pace and frequent pauses for clarifications suggested that the young man at the front was relatively new to the role, possibly in the throes of training. Despite this, during my 5-7 minute wait time, the rest of the team made no effort to pitch in and assist the novice. The collective inaction felt especially frustrating when it was clear that the line could have been served more efficiently had the team worked together.
The lack of coordination and team effort were evident, and I sincerely hope the manager wasn't present to witness this disservice. Another customer every knocks on the door and the employees look up but don’t respond so we walk around to the side door which happens to be open. That’s strike one….So as an avid Chipotle eater one of the best parts of my bowl is the meat and grilled onions and bell peppers. This location fixes my bowl and the guac is brown and has skin on top it has sat so long. She seems agitated and after she got to the sour cream I noticed something was missing and so I asked her. I said that looks so skimpy I’m missing something and I notice 3 empty spaces where something should have been and I ask her where are the grilled onions and peppers and she catches an attitude and tells me they don’t have any right now and she proceeds to get me on my way so I stop her and ask how long before they will be ready because they just opened. One bowl was missing sour cream and lettuce, another was missing guac, a third was missing fajita veggies/cheese/lettuce/had brown not white rice but it had bean which were NOT asked for (this bowl in particular was completely wrong and is the pictures attached), fourth was missing guac and sour cream, and the fifth was missing beans. The server who was making the bowls was waiting for steak, understandable but as soon as he got it, he paid no attention to the actual orders and then rushed them out as fast as he could. He was also chatting with a customer who already cashed out and got their food while making my food, as well as someone else's in front of me. At this point, if you don't go in and physically order the food there and WATCH them make it, it is bound to be completely wrong.
