iPhone glass replacement .
Went in this morning with a smashed glass. Phone was checked, working fine, except for shattered glass. Paper work signed. Got a message 4 hours later phone was ready. Went to pick it up, repair tech was gone, new tech says "can I help you?" Here to pick up the phone, it's ready. "Oh yeah, that. Let me get the manager'. Manager comes up, laughing. 'We had a problem with the phone. It won't go past the blinking apple. It just keeps looping. We tried a white screen, and then we tried a black screen"
"It was fine when I dropped it off to have the glass replaced'.
laughter "Yes, it was.'
'But it's broken. You broke my phone.'
"no, not really, '
"Yes, my phone was working when I came in, it says right on the paper. and now it doesn't work".
more laughing by the manager.
'Well we can send it in to the repair shop....'
"I trusted you to repair the glass and you couldn't handle that, and you expect me to trust you to fix this phone at a place that I don't even know??"
"Give me my phone. Give me the paperwork. Reverse the charge on my charge phone now."
More laughter from the manager.
DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, TRUST STAPLES TO REPAIR THE GLASS ON YOUR PHONE, (AT 160$!!) OR ANYTHING ELSE, WITH YOUR PHONE. I wil never go to a staples again. I can get pens and paper from the grocery store, and everything else from Amazon, or Michael's Crafts.
EDIT: I brought my phone to the Genius bar at Apple to be examined. The logic board was destroyed by Staples 'associate' Spencer S'. I am on the phone now with Staples headquarters in Framingham, MA.
final EDIT: I've been back and forth with VP's office in Framingham over the last week and a half. She contacted Staples in Wallingford, and assured me they will no longer be treating customers the way I was treated. She arranged a replacement phone for me, a refurbished iPhone 6, one model older than my broken phone. The contract signed in the store states they are only responsible for "$100' worth of damage, so I will accept this gratefully, I only hope the store in Wallingford learns from this. I don't know if I can change the stars, if I could rate the service I received from Ms. Kopp in Framingham, I'd give her 5 stars. I do want people to use the tech table in Staples Wallingford with open eyes. Thank you, Ms. Kopp. Wallingford,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI really don't like to do stuff like leave a negative review but the hope is that there can be a change in action. I went to this Staples to drop off an amazon package that needed to be put in an envelope. I asked if there was an envelope from UPS and it was only for express. That's fine no problem! I purchased an envelope for my item. I asked if I can use some tape to affix my label. The response was no we don't provide tape you have to go buy it from aisle 3. Now that's a stretch to me I asked if I can use the the scotch tape that USUALLY is on the table for self serve use. Response we don't supply tape for your envelope go to aisle 3. I'm annoyed at this point because something so minute turned into something so big as the staff began to yell out loud can you tell the lady in aisle 3 to buy tape we don't supply tape. It was embarrassing, poor customer service (except the cashier who rang out my envelope). Customers are literally buying packing tape and leaving it for the next client who has to deal with this same scenario just to drop off a return. Hopefully they get it together or amazon pull from partnering with this business who makes returns more of a hassle!
Having worked for STAPLES back in the day I see its noting like it use to be customer service use to be the forth front now its about proving a point and not caring if I service a customer and that's unfortunate!
If returning packages from amazon if you can choose a location GO TO KOHLS such a seamless...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in today, 9/15/18, to replace my IPhone 6 battery at STAPLES on North Colony Rd in Wallingford CT. I was so impressed with the customer service that I received. First, I was greeted by a young lady at the register with a big smile, welcome, and a thank you as I was leaving. Then I had pleasure meeting an awesome service tech team that took a great care of my phone. They were all pleasant, welcoming, and I felt very comfortable leaving my phone in their hands. Special recognitions go to the employees that took care of me on arrival: young lady at the register, Andrew, Aaron, and I can't remember the third employee's name (sorry, Randy maybe?). Also, a special recognition to Sara, the store manager whom I met when I came back to pick up my phone. She explained that something happened to my screen and that they replaced that too. They even gave me a new screen protector for free. Top, 5 stars service in my book. I would definitely recommend them anytime. These young people will go places. Keep up the great work STAPLES. A huge THANK YOU...
