Unbelievable and completely blown away by they way this restaurant treat their customers! I am a repeat customer and have been here many times. This evening we ordered chicken wings with sauce on the side which we have ordered many times successfully (sauce is too spicy for my son) and some other items from this restaurant and came home to find that there was sauce on our order of wings. I called back to let them know so that we can bring back my order since my son cannot eat spicy food. The gentleman that took my order started getting defensive and said "I repeated your order back to you when you ordered" and then he proceeded to relay that he specifically stated that there IS sauce on the wings which was complete BS and he basically he could not do anything about it. We went back and forth and I expressed how disappointed I was that they were not even willing to correct their mistake which we had to throw away. I then asked to speak with the owner and he hung up on me!!!! Can you believe that?!?!?

I called back and asked the person that picked up the call (I believe another gentleman but possibly the same person?) explained my situation and requested the name of the person that I initially spoke with. He then proceeded to tell me that he cannot release that information to me because that is "confidential" and also he is a new employee and do not want to get him in trouble. Ok, fine, can I have your name? I asked. He would not give that to me. Again UNBELIEVABLE! I then asked for the owner's name so that I can speak with them. Next answer is just mind-blowing...."There are multiple owners..." Well give me one!! I said...and again he kept repeating "Well...there are multiple owners. At this point I am just flabbergasted! I then started to demand a name and the gentleman then started to say your phone call is now choppy and your voice is too high pitched. WOW!!! Then he put the phone down and started speaking with another person. OMG!!!!!!

It's really a shame that they are located in the hub of so many great restaurants where customer service is at a forefront but NOT these guys! All they had to say was my apologies, can you please bring your order back and we will remake it for you? I would have been completely satisfied with that. I was not even expecting a refund! Their employees are obviously poorly managed and need better training.

We will NOT be supporting this business any longer. Why go and support a restaurant that has no regard to their service?d We WILL be making sure to share our experience to all of our peers as well.

BTW, there are so many great korean restaurants that does not have this kind of rookie service. Jonga House in Oakland, Ohgane in Concord & Oakland, Moa in Pleasant Hill, and now Gen Korean...

Was going on a nice walk in downtown Walnut Creek ready to go to my usual spots for lunch. That is until in the corner of my eye I saw this menu outside and decided to take a look. Never been to this place before but the prices seemed reasonable and the pictures looked good so I walked in.

I got to say, Im glad I gave it a chance! Ordered the bibimbop with the “sizzling bowl” (an extra $2) and really enjoyed it. The meal came with what felt like a dozen appetizers for free and they said all meals come with that. They also refill them for free too. My favorite of these was the cilantro, whatever spices and sauces it had were delicious.

The food itself was great. This sounds oddly specific but it’s got to be one of the most perfectly cooked eggs i’ve seen in my life. Not burnt on the bottom, yet the whites fully cooked. Slightly runny yolk. Breakfast diners don’t even cook eggs this perfectly so I had to point it out.

The provided bottle sauce was slightly spicy so I only had a bit of it. Still tasted great and not overly spicy to where most people can’t tolerate it. Ended up asking for some soy sauce instead which fit my palette better.

After my meal I needed a to go container since I was pretty filled up! That shows me it’s a solid portion size for what you’re paying for. After tax, 20% tip, and everything together, I walked out paying a flat $26 for a single person. I’d say that’s reasonable! Not cheap by any means, but competitive to the restaurants on the same block that go north of $30-35 per person.

Service was great. Was seated instantly but to be fair it was almost empty when I went, close to 3pm when they close before dinner service. Not sure how packed they are at other times but I hope they are because they deserve it!

The staff came by often to check in, refill water, refill the side appetizer thingies, etc. No complaints there.

Atmosphere was nice. Nothing exceptional in terms of decor however I must say it was very very very clean. Funny enough I was sitting in a spot where I could see the rack of cleaning products and it was full of everything you could imagine. They definitely take cleaning seriously and everything was spotless and shiny.

Overall I’m not saying it’s the best place in Walnut Creek or somewhere everyone should go all the time. But if you’re craving something different, something new, and something good, I don’t think you can go wrong here. Do what I did, take a detour, and just try it. You...

The food was way worse than the prior times we have visited. The service was awful as well. Not only did they spill my soup on the table without an apology or even offering to clean it. . . On top of that the chop sticks needed to be sent back because of how dirty it was which makes me question the cleanliness of the place. The place itself is nice but the food was bad and the service was ridiculous. The only one who received good portion of meat was the person who ordered pork. For everyone else who ordered beef, we were given tiny bits of beef so that it looked like it was more but it was such a small overall portion. The server was very slow and also was rude when handing out the food. Due to this we left without a tip because this was a very disappointing experience and it was mind-blowing. Mind you, we were still sitting at the table and putting our food in to go boxes because we couldnt even get ourself to finish the food and the bill was set in the middle of the table yet the server just swooped by quickly to check how much tip was given. Following this, the manager came by to confront us about the tip and would not leave the table even after we explained the reasoning. This not only made the experience bad but also even worse when she made it awkward. I was honestly glad that I was able to explain how bad everything was but its kinda wild that she came over saying that we should tip even despite...

This is located in the heart of downtown Walnut Creek. So of course you will find parking. There’s a couple of garage parking nearby. I love Korean cuisine, so I was happy to try this one. My go to dish is the KALBI ribs, I order it all the time at any Korean restaurant. My kalbi came out sizzling which is to be expected. It looked so beautiful I couldn’t wait to take a bit of it. and it was good! It was hot, it was tender and oh so tasty. I loved all the side dishes but i wish they had more variety. Like anchovies with jalapeño and spicy potatoes (just a suggestion:)). Oh by the way we ordered crispy chicken wings with sweet and tangy sauce. I love it the chicken is so crispy outside and hot and tender inside and that’s how these were, so good! My friend also ordered the bibimbop which had about 12 different kinds of ingredients. Serve over rice is a bed of spinach, mushroom, julienned carrots, and bean sprouts with seasonal vegetables and more. So Yumm! This is a good vegetarian option. Our server was nice, she kept our water cups filled. And gave us good recommendations on what to order.
