1515 Restaurant & Lounge — Restaurant in Walnut Creek

Stopped here for the first time before a performance at the Lesher. We let them know we had a drop dead time and they delivered! The service was great, friendly and attentive. And the food! We ordered the buffalo cauliflower "small plate" which was enough for an entree truthfully, very good - not the deep fried super battered kind, tender with the right amount of heat. Hubby got the seafood fettucine (he's so predictable!) and said it was the best he's ever had. I had an arugula salad with prawns, candied walnuts, tomatoes and fig dressing with the most AMAZING fried burrata on top. Creamy deliciousness with a crispy carmelized crust. Outstanding!! Good vibe to place, I just wish there weren't TV's everywhere. It seems like no matter where you go there are at least 5 TV's going. It's just distracting and unnecessary - like we need to stare at more screens. I can see at the bar (maybe) but in the main dining areas it's annoying (not just here, anywhere!). Oh, also delish drinks, try the cool cucumber...

I enjoyed my dining experience here. I can say the the drinks we ordered were made very nice well...I ordered a cool cucumber margarita, it came on the rocks with fresh cucumber slices and a tajin rim. My companion ordered a Hurricane that was perfect! Not too syrupy sweet..:) I decided to order the buffalo cauliflower bites and the sweet potato fries. Both were exceptional and fresh! I enjoyed the chipotle aioli that accompanied the sweet potato fries as well. Cauliflower was crispy and had a nice bite. My companion ordered the fish n chips entree...i was told it was delicious! I saw that it had 2 large, white flaky pieces of fish with a golden beer batter!..Yummm!! I had to try it..I did and it was well seasoned and definitely a winner winner fish dinner...lol the Chips (fries) were a bit too salty to eat them all...& I didn't mind sharing my sweet potato fries at all.😊 Overall, I'm excited to have a go-to spot in WC. Had a reservation for a party of 7 for my husbands birthday. Table was not set or ready, staff was defensive because our party was the 15 minutes “early”, sorry but the table should have been cleaned and set in advance as it was a reservation made weeks in advance. Then we were rushed to a table that was far too large. We ordered drinks and appetizers that took far too long to come to our table, the staff was far more concerned with a huge birthday party on the other side of the restaurant. It got so loud that we moved our party to a table on the outside patio. We had to ask twice for our waiter to bring fresh utensils and plates after the appetizers. We ended up moving the dirty plates ourselves to a vacant table nearby. Had to beg for a basket of bread to go with a pasta entree. It came at the very end of the meal: sliced toasted sandwich bread, WTH? On a dinner plate! This place is a joke and it ruined the party. Will...
