Walnut Creek/Concord’s newest halal spot transports you straight to the streets of Istanbul. Imagine cats weaving between your legs, the Adhan echoing from nearby minarets, and men from every corner of the globe walking past with freshly bandaged foreheads, praying their new hair grafts grant them youth again.

PiddeG just opened off Ygnacio, next to Whole Foods—and it does not disappoint.

A wood-fired oven anchors the kitchen, turning out piping hot pides, lahmacuns, and pillowy pita. The Adana and beef shish plates were perfectly seasoned, generous in portion, and came out sizzling. For dessert, they make their own baklava (flaky, buttery, and just sweet enough), along with other treats. And in true Turkish fashion, tea is always on the house—exactly as it should be.

Service is still finding its rhythm, as you’d expect from a new opening, but the staff couldn’t have been warmer or more attentive.

If you’re in the area, PiddeG is absolutely worth a stop—whether for a quick bite or to linger with tea...

Walnut Creek just got a gem! 🎉 I ordered the Beef Shish plate on opening weekend and it was fantastic — the beef was tender, juicy, and grilled perfectly, with rice, salad, hummus, and pita rounding out a fresh and flavorful meal.

What really stood out was the hospitality. As we were leaving, they offered us baklava and a Turkish treat — and honestly, it was some of the best baklava I’ve ever had. They even offered us Turkish tea, which I kindly passed on since I don’t drink tea, but it was such a warm gesture.

The restaurant is clean, modern, and the staff are incredibly welcoming. Piddeg is a wonderful new addition to Walnut Creek, and I can’t wait to go back and try more...

This restaurant and all the employees deserve a 5 Star rating! This is the 4th visit here since they opened, and I also brought my friends and they agreed! So far, I have had the Platter with Chicken and Lamb Shish Kabobs, the first time, and now having the Chicken Kabobs Bowl the second time. Lahmacun is one of my favorites and I have ordered that twice on two previous visits. I’m going to cater from this restaurant next time I have the family coming over. And the selection of desserts is a beautiful presentation placed on a platter in the middle of the table! The staff is very friendly, and excellent service, serving me tea and coming back to my table and...

Piddeg is an absolute gem! Their lahmacun is one of the best I’ve ever had thin, perfectly crispy, and full of flavor. The kunefe was the perfect way to end the meal warm, gooey, and deliciously sweet without being overwhelming. On top of the amazing food, the atmosphere at Piddeg is so inviting cozy, modern, and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to enjoy authentic flavors with friends or family. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!
