Starbucks — Restaurant in Walnut Creek

I will qualify that I had a somewhat complicated order but I straight up waited 15 minutes for the barista to make my drink (not including the 9 minutes it took after I put in my mobile order and for me to walk over and wait inside for 7 of those minutes) only 4 people in line. Not a high volume time. The were three people physically there working but only two baristas with only one staying there at the bar. The app alerted me on a timer that my order is (supposed to be) ready. Then I said hi to the barista and asked about my order because she didn't acknowledge me earlier. She told me she couldn't make my drink because they were missing ingredients. Not a big deal but I would have liked to have saved time waiting. She offered to make me something else. I told her the saw her pick up my new cup, put it down, not even starting it, to go take a new persons order twice. After making those two customers's drinks, she then got the ingredients together to make mine and still didn't finish it. She had my ingredients sitting next to the blender and stopped to help one more customer. Then she blended my drink, then she went to get help making it (maybe the blender was acting up) then the manager helped by blending it again they then helped another person who wanted ice water. Then the original barista went to talk to some lady, either a friend or an off duty coworker. Then after my drink had been sitting finished in the blender for all that time she poured it and gave it to me. I tried it and it was room temperature. I told her so and asked if she forgot to add ice and she said no, she definitely did not forget. Either she really actually forgot to put ice in it or it took SO LONG for her to make my drink that it ended up being room temperature when I finally got it. Then I waited while she made it again. For a wait time total of 22 minutes.

It should not take 15 minutes to make literally one drink on a slow day that is not even super complicated. Even an extremely complicated one shouldn't take more than 6 minutes. According to protocol she should have prioritized my order since I had been waiting longer than the other...

This is a review about the Starbucks on 2292 N. Main in Walnut Creek. This is the best Starbucks I have ever been to and it’s thanks to its atmosphere and friendly people working there. I would like to acknowledge Alejandro, June, Josephine, my Italian friend and many others because everyone there is just friendly and fun and hard working! You guys are the best and I think you should be rewarded by your company because they don’t know how lucky they are having you on board! Thank you for always being prompt and kind and very welcoming. I stopped in at 6:00am and both ladies behind the counter were busy but both still greeted me with a smile an assured me that they would help me out soon. The lady that took my order was super friendly and asked if I wanted anything else and I said no after orfering my smores Frap and we joked sbout how i would probably wish i had a breakfast sandwhich later.
