Massimo in Walnut Creek is the epitome of upscale Italian dining—a culinary haven where every detail is meticulously curated to elevate your dining experience to new heights. I had the pleasure of treating my significant other to a Valentine's Day dinner at this exquisite establishment, and I must say, it was an evening to remember.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were enveloped in an ambiance of sophistication and romance. The warm lighting, elegant decor, and soft strains of Italian music set the stage for a truly memorable evening.

The staff at Massimo are true professionals, well-versed in the art of hospitality. From the moment we were seated, we were attended to with the utmost care and attention, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience exceeded expectations.

And then there's the food—oh, the food. Each dish at Massimo is a masterpiece, a symphony of flavors that dance across the palate and leave you craving more. From delicate antipasti to sumptuous pasta dishes and decadent desserts, every bite is a revelation, a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs.

But perhaps what truly sets Massimo apart is the way they make you feel—special, cherished, and utterly pampered. It's more than just a meal; it's an experience—a celebration of love, good food, and the joy of being together.

So, if you're looking to impress that special someone or simply indulge in a memorable dining experience, look no further than Massimo in Walnut Creek. Trust me, you won't be...

I went for my office Christmas party/dinner and it was a nice place. The atmosphere is relaxing yet fun. The lights are dim so its a warm and comfortable feeling but not stuffy. It gets pretty loud in there with the fun atmosphere which i feel makes it better. You order everything ala carte so it could be a little pricey depending on what you order. I got the penne pasta but ordered it with their meat sauce. It was pretty good but the portion was on the smaller side, or maybe i was just too hungry because it took a while to get our food. The desserts were yummy and the servers were very nice. The owner was in there greeting his patrons and making sure everyone was happy with their food/service so i liked that that. The only thing that I would say is that it took a long time for drinks and food to start coming. Then when it did, it took at least 20-30 minutes in between each ala carte item including drinks and drink refills, so to me, It was a little drawn out. It was a few days before Christmas so it could have been extra busy due to office parties etc which could have slowed them down. With that being said, i would definitely go back...i really liked how the owner cares about his patrons and was there chatting with everyone, that shows good character and in this crazy world, we need good people all...

Great local Walnut Creek Italian Restaurant that's been around for some time, but well kept up, very clean with modern amenities, TV's of the ballgame, piano playing during weekend dining (when we have visited).

Very clean, has a few bathrooms that are also clean, large bar, it is a formal wear (dress shirt) type of establishment with a casual feel atmosphere. Close proximity to shopping, movie theater, other restaurants, plenty of parking with a parking structure near by, to some meter parking in the front, inside and outside dining, multiple 2 and 4 tops where they also can handle large parties, and the age group seems to be mature 35 and older, but kids are welcomed as well.

Friendly and personable "Italian" customer service, large wine selection from the glass to a bottle, beers and wide variety of spirits (although kind of expensive), food is wonderful (and reasonably priced) and every time we say we won't be getting a desert, we can't resist and we order a Crème Brulee with berries (our favorite) with a cup of coffee, or an espresso to top the night (and my stomach).

Great Place, where we visit once every...

Italian restaurant located amongst a line of restaurants in Walnut Creek. There’s paid street parking and garage parking nearby. With both indoor and outdoor seating, they do have heaters outside but we easily made a reservation via opentable in advance and opted to sit indoor. We were greeted by our very kind server and she helped us decide what to order because we wanted some appetizers. We ordered calamari, grilled octopus, and the golden beet salad which had a lot of burrata. Then we opted for the special gnocci and sausage for the main. You can get bread, oil and vinegar upon request. I asked what wine paired well with our choices and she recommended a red. For dessert we got the tiramisu and when I made the reservation I stared it was my friends birthday and we got an ice cream for it, we opted for vanilla. We devoured our meal and was big enough for 2 of us. They have a bathroom located in the back, a bar area with TVs if you’re trying to watch sports and all of the staff are super friendly!

The food is exquisite. It can be tough to find an Italian joint in California where they really know how to make Italian food the right way, and this is that. It's pretty fancy by Walnut Creek standards, too. If you're looking for a place to take your date and impress her, this could be exactly what you need. The reason I don't give five stars is because prices are higher than they need to be and the wait staff is haughty. My wife is a non-native English speaker who didn't grow up eating Italian food, and when she asked our waitress to explain some of the items on the menu that used unfamiliar terms, the waitress smirked at the first question and rolled her eyes at the second. That kind of attitude's just not something we need in our lives. Especially not from someone whom I'm about to give a big double digit tip.
