I don’t write reviews often, but this place blew us away. Hands down, Uppercut Prime offers the best quality meat at the best prices anywhere in the area — and I don’t say that lightly. Everything is Certified Angus Beef and top-tier. Steaks, ribs, sausages, pork, chicken — you name it, they’ve got it… if you get there early enough. (Yes, it really is that popular.)

We come to Winona Lake every year, and for the longest time we wished there was a real, high-quality meat shop in the area. This year, we found Uppercut Prime — and we’ve been back multiple times in just one trip. It’s that good.

And let me tell you about the owner: Steve Hughes isn’t just passionate about meat — he’s a national BBQ champion. He’s won multiple competitions across the country and placed highly at world BBQ events. This guy goes toe-to-toe with pitmasters from Texas, Tennessee, the Carolinas — and beats them. He knows his stuff, and he’s incredibly generous with his time and knowledge.

We even bought a new RecTeq grill from him. We asked to see one assembled — and he stayed late that night just to build one for us to view the next day. And then? We picked a different model entirely, and he didn’t bat an eye. He even hand-delivered the grill to us in town and walked us through how to prime it and use it. I’ve never seen service like that.

If you're reading anything less than a 5-star review, take it with a grain of salt. This place is a gem — the kind of small-town, family-owned business you root for and want to see grow. The quality, the service, and the people behind it all make Uppercut Prime an absolute must-visit.

You will not find better meat anywhere else in Warsaw or surrounding areas. Steve and Tina's experience in championship cooking competitions has given them great knowledge on the quality of meat. The boneless pork chops are wonderful and the pork burgers rock! Steve is always bringing something new. His new maple blueberry brats hit you in the taste buds! They have won many awards for their cooking. They love to help people become better cooks. Steve has created his own line of seasonings packed with great flavor! They carry seasonings from proven winners in the BBQ world. They also carry Recteq grills. I bought the 380 deluxe and I love it! They have charcoal, wood pellets and anything else you would need for grilling. They are bringing their knowledge of BBQ to the community in Saturday's with their cooked meats. I can’t say enough great things about Uppercut Prime Meats & Grilling Supplies! Their pork burgers are absolutely phenomenal—juicy, flavorful, and unlike anything I’ve had elsewhere. The service is top-notch; the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what they do.
