I never take time to review things but made a mental note to review this hotel for other families like ours. Our large family stayed here & will definitely stay here whenever we are in Indiana. The staff was all surprisingly friendly! Some of the staff looked kind of sketchy at first but proved not to judge a book by it’s cover. I love that!! We never had the slightest bit of rudeness. The breakfast was great with 3 cereal options, oatmeal, waffle bar, yogurt, fruit, muffins, bagels, toast, danishes, milk & juices, etc. daily. They also had a different main entree daily from scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage to biscuits and gravy or cheese omelet. Food was all freshly made, delicious & there were toppings/condiments galore. Coffee was decent for being hotel coffee too with several creamer & sweetener options. They have cookies at the desk in the afternoon/evening. Our kids had cabin fever so we took advantage of the pool & hot tub. The inside pool was freezing (slightly expected given it is December) & the hot tub was on point. I love that they don’t clean your room unless you ask them to. We were there almost a week but only needed them to bring fresh towels/bedding & vacuum once. The beds are really comfortable with more pillows than anybody could need. When our small children were excitedly galloping through the hallways or giggling loudly, the staff never once got ugly. They were all actually very welcoming & even talked with our children, treated them like family. Oh & the water…anybody who cares about hair: the water pressure is high, temperatures great & lasting, plus very soft. I need soft water with my super long, curly hair & was pleased to have no tangles to worry about after showering. Pet friendly for a small fee made it nice to bring our Sphinx along with us. Highly recommend this hotel...

(410) Went down and asked for a different room, second room stunk when you turned on the heater (408)||||The common areas and hallways were cold Elevator sounds like its very old and makes all sorts of weird noises. Lighting was below average in the rooms. ||||Coffee was awful, and breakfast was very poor. All processed (powdered eggs, and instant oatmeal). Milk smell old, and wasn't cold. For a Hilton Hotel, this is very poor. Add some whole wheat toast, hard boiled eggs, and plain yogurt at least. ||||Check in was also unpleasant. I should have been able to check in digitally, But the girl at the front desk required my ID, and tried to give me a bag of snacks (all sugary junk food). I asked if I could just have a bag of pretzels and water, instead and she said no. This is our snack. I said I cannot eat that much sugar (its a prediabetic condition). She said sorry mam.||||Just really a poor stay all around. This was supposed to be my mini vacation to rest up. I used my points for this stay. What a waste of...

Everything was fine with the following exceptions that I would expect at a hotel of this caliber: No bacon with breakfast (I had eggs, sausage, and juice. Maybe the bacon was out temporarily, just don't know), pillows were very unsupportive - as soon as I put my head on it, it squashed down to about an inch thick. 4 pillows on the bed, all the same. No paper/pen in the room. A lot of us want to write down stuff, write lists, etc. Lastly, the door wouldn't latch properly, and I was unable to lock the door when I left. When inside, I could deadbolt the door and use the 'doorblock. If I left the room, I had to drag my bags down with me to the car (Car was more secure than the room. ||Yes! Many of my complaints are very minor and picky!! And nothing was a dealbreaker. BUT.... all of them together indicate a lack of attention to detail. I gave 4 stars because OVERALL, the stay was pretty good. I've left a lot of complaints here, but it was still OK, just not exceptional, and the things that made it not exceptional would be so...
