Arrived at 2:30 pm and waited at check in for at least 4 minutes before we were seated in a restaurant that wasn't very busy. Our waiter introduced himself as Matt and when asked about the half priced appetizers he pointed to the table tent and we ordered boneless buffalo wings, two sodas, and 2 fish and chips. Sodas were delivered first and the manager approached our table and thanked us for stopping in. Meanwhile at the bar perhaps 8 people were seated however the bartender was extremely loud with her cackling laughter that could be heard throughout the entire restaurant. It went on at least 20 minutes and was so bad we thought she had a few drinks in her with being the center of attention. Table 66 we were seated at was annoying due to the flooring bouncing whenever guests were being seated or servers going by making the table and seats bounce as well. Matt came out with our fish and chips and when asked why the app wasn't delivered first he apologized and said he forgot about it. He asked if we still wanted the app and we changed our mind and passed. The fish portion was small and kind of flat and didn't taste like fresh New England Cod at all im very familiar as advertised on the menu. The coleslaw was dry and bland with no liquid in it and and the fries were luke warm. By the time Matt came to check on us I was almost finished and asked for hot fries he delivered later on. When it was time to pay the bill Matt was instructing us how to cash ourselves out with the machine on the table I wanted no part of but Matt forgot to remove the additional fries off the check so he had to go back. Matt showed my spouse how to use the gift card and debit card. When it came to the tip we always leave 20% or more but I decided to leave only $5.00 due to the many issues we experienced. When my spouse saw this he wanted to give Matt 20 percent after all. I couldn't take any more and went to the car. When my spouse came out he said Matt had to correct it but there wasn't a spot to add on a gratuity so that's where it ended. Read moreI always find Applebee's restaurants to be very consistent, and give high ratings (5) so not to discredit the chefs operation they are fantastic....good food at good prices. However, I went to this location with my 86yr old mother and entered through disabled entry. Was noticed by two servers at kiosk who questioned table for 2 looked away and proceeded to continue their conversation... both then walked to the other kiosk at the main entrance and remained there looking at charts....I was appalled. The bartender came over and asked us waiting for table and immediately had us sit at the booth where we were waiting.....then 1 servers from the kiosk came to the table with an attitude and asked us for drinks ..... She brought the drinks to table put them down hard and just walked away, as if we were an imposition. Manager came over to apologize for what happened..... Mom proceed to explain to manager that servers with attitudes like this should be removed from the operation...his comment was basically help is always a struggle.... We were provided with a new server who was fantastic and was complimented with a more than generous gratuity for her efforts as she was uncomfortable with the situation.
Finally, this can happen anywhere in today's environment and I understand, but management and operations should not have individuals with wrong temperament in positions which represents your organization. Who is...
Read moreA bit disappointed with this Applebees. My most recent order didn’t contain 20 pieces of chicken but 15 instead. And a lot of small pieces (compared to my 8 piece which were all full sized pieces) I am assuming because it was a “promo.” However I spent more money than I typically would have to qualify for the promo. But anyway I called Applebees and gave the benefit of the doubt. I explained the situation. I was asked to bring them back for a replacement but living over 10 miles away with small children at home it wasn’t an option. So I was offered a small compensation card. It’s been almost 2 weeks nothing has arrived in my email. I don’t like to write bad reviews but this isn’t my first disappointing experience with this Applebees.
