I had driven up towards Dayton to take my granddaughter to her grandmother's house while my daughter and grandson are on a trip to California. We met at this shopping center which has a big Sam's Club with an attached gas station. Upon randomly checking I saw that there is a #coldstonecreamery just out of sight around the corner. My daughter & I were seeking to try their #luckycharms flavor before the end of March when they stop selling it for now. Upon calling the the store's main phone number I was thrilled to find out how close it was. I had a gift card to use up and today fate seemed to be smiling on me. I spoke to one of two female employees in the store. She was very helpful. I asked her about this flavor. My big disappoint was that doesn't come in a pint size take out container. I could get it in small, medium or large #loveitsignature cup for $4, $5 or $6. They also have a 32 oz #takeout size. I needed 2 pints so my daughter could take one up to Dayton when she heads back home. She told me that the $6 #loveitsignature could be put into their deep freeze at -30 degrees until I purchased it so I could get to Cincinnati with it mostly unmelted. That sold it for me! The store wasn't busy. It was about 3 pm on Sunday. I was in the short line for about one minute before I was called up for checkout. Other guests were still making their choice of ice cream that they wanted. They had lids on them for my drive home. I promptly put them in my freezer upon arriving home. I can't wait to try it. Read moreI’M NOT SURPRISED TO SEE SO MANY BAD REVIEWS ABOUT THIS SHOP. Today was by far the WORST experience I’ve ever had at this shop. There was only one person working, so we waited several minutes just for 3 cups of ice cream.
My husband politely asked for a refund for my ice cream because the Cheesecake flavor had absolutely NO taste—ZERO flavor—it was clearly wrong. Instead of fixing the issue, the worker just told us to pick another flavor. After waiting again, she unbelievably asked me to pay for it again. I refused. She insisted that the flavor she gave me was Cheesecake, but I stated very clearly that I KNOW 100% what Cheesecake ice cream is supposed to taste like—I buy it every week, and it’s the only flavor I like. This was definitely NOT it.
To make matters even worse, she refused to refund me AND refused to give me a proper replacement. That is completely unacceptable. What kind of customer service is this? We paid for 3 ice creams, I left the one merely untouched, and yet she still wouldn’t make it right.
This is not just bad service—it’s unprofessional, disrespectful, and shows they don’t care about their customers at all. I’ve been to several Cold Stone Creamery shops and NEVER, not once, had an issue like this. How can you treat a family this way when all we wanted was to enjoy a simple treat and a happy moment together? What a complete disgrace.
I will never return to this location, and I strongly warn others to think twice before wasting their money here—or at the very least, TASTE THE FLAVOR ...
Read moreI ordered a cake and a pack of design your own cupcakes. The cupcakes were an activity for the younger kids and it was supposed to come with icing and spinkles. When I arrived the cake looked terrible and melty. The cake said HABBY instead of HAPPT. I asked for them to fix it and was told by the employee she was new and could not do anything. She gave me cupcakes that were already made and I explained they were the wrong thing. Again she said she was new and there was nothing she could do. I asked her to call an owner and she told me to file a complaint on the coldstone site.
I called Sunday and Monday and was told to wait until Tuesday to talk to a manager. The manager told me she did not even know Cold Stone sold design your own cupcakes so that was their mistake and she did agree the cake was messy and had the wrong thing on it.
I asked for a refund and she said no that they did not know how to do refunds so I would have to dispute it with my credit card company. I wish I had read the reviews before ordering from here. Do not place any custom order if you want it to be nice. We have bought cakes over a decade from other Cold Stones and this was by far the worst...
