I ordered Colo for lunch via DoorDash and was actually contacted by the restaurant because the Dasher picked up the wrong order thinking it was mine. I assume the order they picked up was quite expensive as it was raw scallops and salmon fillets, so it was understandable that the restaurant wanted to make the situation right. They offered to deliver the correct order and take back the incorrect one after it was delivered which was very appreciative. Unfortunately in trying to work with DoorDash, I think I was fully refunded and my hope is that the business was not punished for the driver’s mistake.
This was my third time dining with Colo and each time the food has been phenomenal. I was very grateful for the service received by them today knowing they went out of their way to make it right even though it wasn’t their fault. Hopefully if they did get shorted by DoorDash that this helps make it somewhat right but I’m so sorry if it doesn’t.
Next time we are in we will tip extra! Highly recommend this spot but maybe not...
Read moreThe Connecticut-style lobster roll is $24 but was well worth the price of admission. The roll was perfectly toasted and had a nice buttery flavor. There’s a very generous amount of lobster included as well, though it may not look like it from the picture, but there’s plenty of meat tucked down inside the roll. The lobster was excellent, buttery, and tender.
Kettle style potato chips and coleslaw were included and were both nice additions though I found myself wishing they provided a bit more coleslaw. It’s served in a similar sized container that Raising Cane’s serves theirs in with their meals but here the container was barely filled. Maybe I was just unlucky, I don’t know, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.
I also ordered a cup of clam chowder and loved it. Having recently located from CA where you can find great chowder along the coast, I’ve had my fair share of some great clam chowder and this was no exception.

Read moreI recently visited Coastal to Local and had the most amazing seafood experience. The lobster roll was out of this world! It was perfectly toasted with a buttery flavor and generous amounts of lobster meat tucked inside. The accompanying coleslaw and kettle style potato chips were a nice addition, though I wished there was more coleslaw. The clam chowder was also delicious - creamy, flavorful, and just the right amount of saltiness.
The Lobster Bisque is definitely worth trying too! It's incredibly fresh with lots of care taken in its preparation. I could taste the chunks of lobster meat in it which made it even more enjoyable.
Overall, I highly recommend Coastal to Local for anyone looking for an amazing seafood experience at an...
