After seeing a news segment about the Binge Bar, we decided to visit and try out some alcohol free cocktails and appetizers. As two people who are occasion drinkers, we weren't sure what to expect from alcohol free cocktails. For our first round, we tried the sassy potatoes, the new fashioned, and the expresso martini. The sassy potatoes were, as the other reviews point out, a menu highlight! They were spicy and extremely flavorful, especially with the garlic aioli. The new fashioned tasted not too syrupy and not too sweet. The expresso martini was flavorful; however, important to note, it is made with coffee not expresso, so it didn't have the strong flavorful kick of an expresso martini. For our second round, we had the artichoke elegante and lumpia, an old fashioned, and an amber is the color of your energy cocktail. The artichoke elegante was SO GOOD and a must try! The old fashioned, again, was not too syrupy nor sweet, and maybe better than the new fashioned. The amber is the color of your energy drink was my favorite drink of all those we tried. It was served hot and the warm spices in the drink made it taste like mulled wine. I had no expectations for the lumpia but would describe it as a crispy vegetarian spring roll with sweet and spicy sauce. We were lucky enough to meet the owner, who was very personable and gave us some good recommendations of items to buy from within the bar and gave us a free sample of an alcohol free wine/champagne. Overall, the alcohol free cocktails were pretty flavorful, the food was outstanding, and we left thinking we would be back...

I like the concept of this bar and was excited to check it out as my boyfriend is a non drinker, and wanted to bring him to a place that could be enjoyable for him. Their listed hours are 2-10 pm on their website and online. We got there just after two a couple weekends ago, and the doors were locked. I called the number to see if they were open, and no one picked up but their voice mail also stated the hours. It was heavily raining so it was a little annoying to be standing outside. After maybe 10 minutes of standing in the rain, and even trying to contact them via social media, an employee called me back and apologized. He let us in, and he was honestly great.

However, he did explain they don't typically get busy till later in the day so they don't usually anticipate people for 2 pm. That's fair, but if that's the case then open later! No point in advertising one time, but then not being prepared for customers when they actually arrive.

Also, they were pretty much out of every drink I wanted to try and their bartender wouldn't be in till later to make their specialty cocktails. Maybe it was a one off day, but first impressions go along way.

Lastly, almost all the food on their menu contained nuts. I have a severe nut allergy so was disappointed that most of their foods contain a major allergen. Again, I'm grateful for the great server we had but I'd think long and hard before...

I stayed in D.C for 5 nights and came to binge twice (no pun intended)! If you want a low pressure night of laughs, games, great food & memorable conversations with GiGi (the owner of Binge who redefines D.C nightlife), you need to check out Binge Bar!

We tried the What Would Samantha Jones Do, the New Fashioned, the Blue Pea-rry Reverie, the Cucumber Mangorita, and the Binge Won’t Do You Dirty! The drinks are distinctively delicious but the food is the most addicting thing on the menu. Do yourself a favor and get two orders of the sassy potatoes! The DMV’s hearts & art is flavorful and pairs with a refreshing salad! The mezze platter features a delicious mutabal spread that tastes like no other! The artichoke elegante are baked to perfection and thrive in harmony with caramelized onions.

The space feels like one big house party with the nicest strangers you’ll ever meet at a bar. The underground space creates a sense of grounding and familiarity. Bright colored furniture, white walls, and dim lights create a warm Art-Deco aesthetic! The space is filled with greenery and mixed media canvases that give it a personalized touch! The playlist is top tier, diverse, and can be found on Spotify (you’re welcome...

I attended the Galentine’s Flourish Bouquet workshop hosted by Amparo Rojas at Binge Bar back in February, and it was absolutely delightful! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I loved how the event brought together a lovely mix of people in such an intentional space. Binge Bar’s non-alcoholic selection is seriously impressive — thoughtfully curated, flavorful, and creative. I especially appreciated the suggestion to try the CBD wines (total game-changer!). Meeting the owner, Gigi, was a highlight. She’s so inviting and kind, and her passion for creating a space that celebrates connection without alcohol really shines through. From the crowd to the drinks to the bites — everything felt intentional and inspiring. Highly recommend for anyone who’s sober curious or fully living an alcohol-free lifestyle. Can’t wait to come back!
