When my sister-in-law came to town, so My wife and I knew we had to bring her here for an unforgettable dining experience. It was our second visit to Bluestone Lane, and we decided to go all out to make it extra special.

Here's what we indulged in:

Spiced Chicken Wrap: The Spiced Chicken Wrap was a delight. The tortilla was warm and inviting, enveloping the soft and flavorful chicken. The taste was spot on, and the potato wedges accompanying it were a pleasant surprise – not overly salty, but soft and tasty.

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes: Opting for something different, I ordered the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes. The first bite was a revelation – a warm, lemony burst of flavor that tantalized my taste buds. It struck the perfect balance between sweetness and tartness, and the portion size was right.

Aussie Iced Chocolate: To cap off our meal, I couldn't resist the temptation of an Aussie Iced Chocolate. With actual ice cream in the mix, this drink was a dessert. It was heavenly, and I wholeheartedly recommend it as the perfect ending to your meal.

Side Roasted Carrots: The Side Roasted Carrots were a pleasant surprise. They were crunchy and perfectly cooked, with all the ingredients harmoniously blending to create a delightful side dish.

Our waitress deserves special mention for her attentiveness. She patiently explained the menu, highlighted the specials, and answered all our questions, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.

Bluestone Lane is a gem of an Australian restaurant, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

My visit even prompted me to sign up for their rewards program. This place is a culinary treasure, and I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit.

Solid coffee shop with solid drinks and great service. Located right next to Logan Circle, this location of Bluestone Lane is a super convenient spot to grab a cup of coffee or settle in to do a bit of work; they have free, fast Wifi, and it's generally pretty quiet, so it's a great place to focus. Unlike most other coffee shops, they also have full service for folks who are dining in, so you can order from the QR code on your table instead of at the counter, and they'll bring your order out to you.

I visited Bluestone around 4 PM in the afternoon, so it was a bit too late for coffee, but I love that they offer a wide selection of non-coffee drinks. I got their golden latte, which includes turmeric, almond milk, and a few other spices; it feels warm (both literally and figuratively) and is a lovely caffeine-free drink that helps me feel healthy as the weather gets colder. And to counterbalance any potential health benefits I might have gotten from the golden latte, I also got their chocolate chip cookie, which was massive -- almost the size of the plate they served it on. It was a solid cookie, slightly chewy but with a nice crust, although it was a bit lacking in chocolate chips.

Bluestone is undoubtedly a rather pricey cafe, but I do love how quiet it is, so I'm sure I'll be making another visit the next time I need to be...

This is one of my favorite cafes in the area. The people who work at the cafe (especially on weekends) are very professional, efficient and friendly. I don’t know how they do it but as soon as someone leaves they notice immediately and get the table ready for the next person. They are always offering us a complimentary bottle of water, even with small orders which I really appreciate. The patio and especially the indoor/outdoor glassed portion are really unique and nice, especially if you have a dog. They have some nice potted plants (although could use some more) and umbrellas for the outdoor tables which makes it very pleasant. Also every day I have sit here, staff from the apartment building come around cleaning up trash in the patio area so for the 14th street corridor it feels very clean. It’s also pretty quiet as it’s around the corner from 14th other than people on scooters picking up deliveries who often park on the sidewalk out front. The few suggestions I would have for improvement relate to the WiFi which is unbearably slow both in the glassed in seating area and patio. Also the WIFI terms and conditions screen has a hidden checkbox that is the same color as the rest of the screen and makes it very confusing to get onto the WIFI - they should really update the color scheme.
