I stopped by the DC store today to check out mattresses. The showroom smells like a sickly sweet perfume bomb went off that follows you everywhere and the bathroom is full of glade and toxic cleaners. Overpowering is an understatement. People wanting to buy organic or healthier mattresses are trying to get away from this stuff. It is clearly a managerial decision because it's a giant air freshener blower installed on the wall.
I'm a little hesitant to buy a "healthy" mattress from a company that is basically pumping VOCs into your showroom and bathrooms. It makes me think your products are likely greenwashed because no one with even a basic understanding of harmful chemicals would have a showroom smell like this.
The staff is extremely responsive and kind. I feel terrible for them that they have to breathe that stuff in every day.
I visited Naturepedic (their mattresses are EWG certified) the other day and it's a much more pleasant shopping experience because it's fragrance free. They take health seriously.
You should be running air purifiers so the air smells clean and put some Branch Basics in...
Read moreI purchased a Saatva RX mattress a week ago on line. The website stated their delivery service will reach out so you can schedule your delivery date and time. Loadstar delivery sent an email on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd stating they could deliver on Wednesday. My response was I’m not available and would need to schedule on Saturday. Their response was, they don’t deliver on Saturdays in my area. This was never disclosed online, or after the order, reaching out to the representative to confirm they received the order. I am a teacher and my contract time begins at 7:30 am-and does not end until 4:30pm in the afternoon. They refused to work with me in any way, shape, or form. The stated I would need to reach out and discuss this with a representative, or I could cancel my order. This is not how to run a successful business. I am now having second thoughts with going through with the sale. If the delivery company will not work with you, will Saatva stand by their product and promised ten...

STORE/SHOWROOM: Beautiful! Plenty of product to see and try.
PARKING: Terrible! We came from Virginia and spent more time driving around trying to find where to park then in the store. Since this is the only location in the DMV, I suggest that the store provide guidance on the website on where to park. Street parking is impossible to find as it is reserved for residents and has a ton of restrictions. Perhaps even comp paid parking if making a purchase.
CUSTOMER SERVER: Terrific! Monique helped us. She was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
PRODUCT: Great products. We bought a Saatva mattress for our guest room almost a year ago and just bought a bed and mattress for our main bedroom. Hopefully, delivery will be ahead of schedule like it was with our...
