Iâm rewriting this review based on the bad experience I had. I originally gave this place a 5 star but some things need to be addressed. Iâll leave my original review below.
I just got one of my favorite breakfast burritos, and it had egg shells in it so I couldnât finish it. The gentleman said they will give me a gift card for next time. I asked for a partial (half) since I ate half of it. I didnât ask for more than the consequence. So they took my half eaten dish. The gentleman comes back out the kitchen mad at me and visibly frustrated and almost couldnât contain himself as if I did something wrong and said with a bad attitude âweâre not giving you anything we donât do refundsâ. Idk why he got so offended and sensitive but I didnât want to argue. The last two times I came the customer service has been terrible as well. Some guys there have really bad attitudes. Mistakes happen, I didnât make too much of a fuss or ask too much. I just wanted a dish I could finish. I left still hungry and confused why they were mad at me because I received eggs with egg shells. I couldnât eat it.

Holy smokes! Is this DCâs biggest secret? Let me tell you how amazed I am by the food here. I donât know whoâs the executive chef and the line cooks but this has got to be the countries top top spots for breakfast / brunch. Everything they make is not only with high quality ingredients, but itâs also so freaking delicious.
First time I came here was with my family a month ago when we were going to the convention center. As we were waiting, we just popped into this (what seemed to by just a coffee shop) amazing place. Our intention was to grab a quick coffee Togo, but saw the menu and were like âhey why not grab a quick bite tooâ. Well I got this amazing vegetable omelette with harissa potatoâs on the side. Well, when I tell you I still crave it every single morning till this day, I really mean it. An unfortunately since they change their menu every 2 months, I will probably never taste that heaven again.
So giving the new menu this month a chance, I got a bacon egg and cheese croissant and a breakfast burrito. First, I know youâre thinking, how good can a bacon egg and cheese get right? Well, you can tell the quality of a chef and a restaurant by 3 things, their choice of bacon (thick cut and perfectly cooked right so itâs not brittle and crispy), and how they cook their eggs (so it smells and tastes amazing and not overcooking it.
Second, the breakfast burrito. WOW, just wow. The combination of tater tots, perfectly cooked thick cut bacon, beautifully cooked scrambled eggs where you can see those pleasant egg whites still in the scramble, the avocado salsa (omfg), and the rest. To top that off a perfectly browned tortilla to put it all together.
Itâs so smart and nice of them to display several of their dishes by the register everyday so you can see whatsup. Thatâs why I ordered it.
Now for the ambiance, itâs top notch. Feels luxurious without being uptight, and super clean. They have such a nice spacious patio too right in the sun so you can enjoy beautiful weather.
I look forward to trying everything else on the menu but itâs hard for me since I just want to eat those same things everytime now. Also I really miss that omelette with harissa potatoâs. If they donât bring it back I have to find a way to cook it...
Read moreThis establishment is not far from where I work so me n my colleague decided to go in for a late lunch . This place has outdoor seating which is perfect on a nice day. The atmosphere was very open, clean , and calming. However the staff here wasnât friendly no smiles or greeting when come in or approach the counter. More of a what do you want and this is the price why of experience. For that type of experience corporate should just invest in a kiosk to place an order. Rather to enter a place of hospitality with no hospitality. I ordered a turkey deli sandwich with a vanilla latte w/ oatmilk and my coworker ordered a Cuban sandwich. My Vanilla oatmilk latte was phenomenal maybe one of the best latte I ever had . My sandwich was very fresh and delicious. Bread was extremely fresh to it tasted homemade. My colleague also really enjoyed her sandwich. However it was hair in her sandwich however since the Cuban took about 20 minutes to come out we really didnât have time to order another plus at the counter they have a sign that says no refunds or exchanges which was pretty weird for a restaurant to have plastered in front of the restaurant. My sandwich came out quickly, Iâm assuming because the Cuban is served hot it takes more time to prepare. But she said it was worth it! The prices are fair for the area and quality . The portions great our sandwiches were big enough for 2 people we both took the other halfâs home for lunch the next day. The sandwiches came with a mixed green salad which was also fresh and delicious. I would definitely come again especially for the latte. I only gave this place a 4 because they lacked basic hospitality and i would recommend staff to wear a hair net because if it was my sandwich it would have been a...

I would like to share some honest feedback in the spirit of supporting the continued success of For Five Coffee.
While I truly appreciate the inviting ambiance and the evident investment made in creating a comfortable space, I have been disappointed with the quality of the pastries on my recent visits. Unfortunately, both the croissant and pain au chocolat I tried over the past week were quite stale, which was disheartening. The lattes were satisfactory, but the pastry experience left me underwhelmed, especially given the otherwise positive environment.
I offer this feedback respectfully, as I know how much hard work goes into running a café. My hope is that attention can be given to improving the freshness and overall quality of the pastries, which would better align with the high standards reflected in the rest of the For Five experience. I truly look forward to giving the pastries another try in the future and seeing For Five continue to thrive.
Thank you for your attention...
