Updated review:

I am EXTREMELY disappointed to be changing my review from 5 stars to 1 star. The last time I came here I had a wonderful time so I told my two good friends about the great brunch. We were super excited about it and I drove them from Arlington just to show them the amazing brunch place I have been telling them about. We walked in at 1:30pm after a family who got seated right away and started ordering. The Indian lady then said RUDELY she had no more tables for 3 and we could wait 30 min, or we could squeeze in on a table of 2. We decided to do the table of 2 since we were super hungry. So after finally sitting, it's about 1:40pm. We wait another 10 minutes and finally the old Indian lady comes and tells us super rudely "no more brunch today, you need to come before 1:30 to do brunch. You can order off the regular menu instead." There should have been enough time until brunch ended at 2:30, so we didn't mind ordering a bunch of things early on, but she didn't give us that option. We stared at her dumbfounded that she didn't bother to mention that earlier before we even sat down. I've never been treated so rudely, it was like we were a BURDEN to her when in fact we drove quite far just to give her business!!! She basically just kicked us out. I was SO embarrassed to have brought my friends here, and have them treated like that after I recommended this place. Never ever coming back to this disgusting place ever again. I will actively tell people to avoid this place. We had an AMAZING AMAZING time at 2Amys instead, so go there if you are reading this review. This "restaurant" can burn down for all I care.

The place also smells like my old Indian auntys house and has a depressing vibe. Just stay away.

Old review:

Delicious bottomless brunch with strong mimosas and fast service. Highly prefer this type of bottomless brunch to the eggier versions around DC. The only negative was the dahi balla tasted stale. Everything else was spot on delicious and well made....

I used to truly enjoy eating here, but the last few orders have been disappointing. editing my original review to add specificity for the owners. I order the SAME thing every time: the Papri chaat, potato and peas samosa (comes with TWO every time), and the vegetable korma The Papri Chat had no chickpeas or potatoes- was all crispy puffs! I have eaten this dish for years from a variety of places, and even with sauce on the side, I counted 2 pieces of potato and 4 chickpeas in the ENTIRE mixture- with the smallest handful of crispy puffs on top! I wish I had taken a picture, because it literally looked like someone just threw a handful into a container. The samosa duo only came with one samosa- again I order this EVERY time so I’m fully aware of how the dish is prepared. Finally my kofta was full of chicken (I know good and well what chicken looks like- not cheese, not tofu, chicken)! My husband’s meal was burned. If you want to continue to blame your customers (especially local and return customers) by accusing them of ignorance, its disappointing but also your choice (again, I have ordered these SAME dishes for YEARS from you and have noticed a huge decline in quality over the past year). Again, I wish I had taken photos to show how great they used to be in comparison to what was thrown at us last night. Unsure if it’s the pandemic and escalation, but definitely not the same experience I used to love and will not be going back for...

Absolutely! In Love ❤️

I recently dined at Heritage India Restaurant, and I must say, it was an incredible experience! The food was absolutely amazing, bursting with authentic Indian flavors that brought back wonderful memories of my grandmother's cooking. Each dish was a delightful journey through the rich tastes of India.

The staff was truly awesome—friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the cuisine they serve. Their recommendations were spot-on, enhancing our dining experience even further.

And let’s not forget the drinks—they were too good! Perfectly crafted to complement the meal, they transformed our dinner into a festive celebration.

My friends and I were blown away by the entire experience. The presentation of each dish was not only appetizing but also a work of art. It brought us joy and countless smiles around the table as we shared this memorable evening together.

If you're looking for an authentic Indian dining experience that warms your heart and tantalizes your taste buds, I highly recommend Heritage India! Thank you for a wonderful evening filled with flavors and...

Guys, let me just say something. This is the tastiest Indian food I have ever had in my entire life. It is the best quality you will find, which is why it’s a little pricey. The staff are usually pretty kind but most importantly the food that they serve is quite literally sent from god. I don’t get Indian food anywhere else because it’s all very bad compared to the food that this amazing restaurant makes. My favorite dishes are the chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, butter chicken, with garlic naan. The chicken is cooked to perfection. They do not serve small portions, the bowls that they use look small but believe me, it’s very hard for me to finish even one of them as the food is so filling. I am an extremely tough critic, and seeing that this place has a 4.1 made me upset. If we are judging solely on food it deserves a 5/5 and I say this with complete sincerity. Good job Heritage India. Thank you for making one of my favorite foods of all time. Best, -M

Update: It has been a couple of years since I originally wrote this review. Since then, the customer service and the food have improved noticeably. While the prices are still high, I truly appreciate the efforts made to enhance both the service and the food quality. I am still rating it 3 stars because of the poor service I experienced in the past, but I wanted to take the time to acknowledge and update my review to reflect the improvements. DO NOT GO!!!! This my second time coming here- right- why did I go again if it was bad the first time? Cause I LOVE me some Indian food, but the first time I came it was TERRIBLE service and small portions for large prices. Second time, (now) taking it to go I thought it would be different- no TERRIBLE service. Look- I tried to warn you- service is bad, food is okay, and prices are high.
