I arrived to pick up a delivery order. I stood by patiently and waited for 9 minutes before the cashier acknowledged my presence. I understand that she was busy, but having to wait for that long just to pick up something that was already prepared, or at least should’ve already been made by that time, is unfair. I’d like to not place a color issue on the matter since she is of color as well, but it’s hard not to. Just let “the help” standby as if they’re not as important while you tend to the others. A simple “I see you and I’ll be with you as soon as possible” would’ve sufficed. How do you not acknowledge someone who’s been in there for 9 minutes? Then, she had the nerve to ask me if I was mad when I grabbed the bag from her with a bit of force. I’ll be sure the people I converse with do not give Jettie’s, Surfside, or Millie’s their money. In addition to previous bad experiences I ordered a Quidnet sandwich today and picked it up. I get home, open it, and it's not even the right sandwich. The one they gave me is something with bacon and sprouts. Am I going to go all the way back to fix it? I don't have time. Is this the last time I ever go there? Yes. Their own staff doesn't even know which sandwich to make. Not worth my time or money.
50% of the time my mobile order isn't right. Just tried to place a mobile order today for a cold sandwich. Their response is that it will take an hour to make. Seriously? Called the store to clarify, but no one ever picks up their phone. Don't bother calling - you'll never get through. The Foxhall location is better. You should stick to that and they should...
Read moreBuyer beware of this place. Jettie's took 100+ dollars from me (unwittingly). They switched their online ordering platform to default to adding a 10% staff tip. It's embarrassing to me, of course, that I ordered from here so often that I didn't recognize the change for months. But their online ordering platform does a good job of hiding the change and the added amount prior to placing the order.
Either way, after spending an embarrassing amount of money here, I can't in good conscience go again. The thing is, I liked the people there. I'd have tipped them occasionally if the process hadn't been obscured by the ordering platform. Management has not been responsive to my request for compensation despite my history...
