I enjoy Jimmy John's usually, I came in to this location yesterday around lunch time so 12pm with my family so 5 people in total. We ordered at the front and waited for our food. We planned on eating inside. Most of the tables were dirty no big deal. The soda smelled and tasted moldy is the only way I can describe it. We won't even speak of the condition of the bathrooms. Then we got our food. Not one of our sandwiched was correct. We all asked for no mayonnaise, no tomato, add pickle, and yellow mustard. Seems simple enough the 1st sandwich had mayonnaise as well as tomato but no pickles. 2nd sandwich had mayonnaise on the outside and again tomato. I went back to the counter with all the sandwiches and spoke with Angela I explained to her that all 5 of our sandwiches needed to be remade due to them not being made correctly. Not only did she tell me " you did not say no mayonnaise" she then proceeded to loudly let me know that they are too busy to be remaking food that was not ordered correctly! " I am the manager of the store!" I was beyond upset but I remained calm and looked at my receipt and wouldn't you know it says right on it no mayo, no tomato, ect. My wife went to show her the receipt and was spoken down to and Angela in a very loud voice said okay honey I guess we will remake your order but it will be a minute we have other orders in front of you. At this my wife and our 3 teenage children left without our 80 plus dollars worth of food, and yes it was over 80 dollars for 5 meals with sandwich chip and drinks! I will never come to this location ever again. I hope that no one else has to deal with the incompetent, rude, argumentative, store...
Read moreI have mixed results with JJ, and I am picky when it comes to a good sandwich. That out of the way I ordered an Italian with jalapeno peppers and mayo. The walls are littered with signs, and decor that are a bit interesting to look at once. The sandwich roll a bit chewy and not soft outside, it almost seems like the bread is a day or so old and not fresh. The sandwich included too much lettuce for my liking, and stringy onions hide in the wake. This sandwich was not good. I did not finish it.
The price is a bit high. I never understood why 8-10 dollars is a good price point for some bread, and a few meat slices. Vegetables are cheap, so the markup is huge. I wouldn't really recommend, and it is hard to do so with better shops available. MSN off of 6th in Tacoma, is miles better than any other place. Edit: It has been a long time since I posted this and I have not gone back to a Jimmy Johns since and probably will not based off this experience and a couple...
Read moreOrdered a tuna unwich and a pickle. Lettuce on sandwich was completely brown. Tomatoes were so slimy and old. Giant pickle was the size of my pinky ($3). Manager named Tommy just said okay and he would look into it. Did not offer a refund. Told him I was never coming back and he said Okay. Back where I am from, I never had a complaint. But the lack of care and concern about my order at this location has made my decision. Also, why is there a tip line for a fast food drive in? I was a server and bartender for 18 years and I take offense to this. Full service deserves tips. I made $2.13/hour. These employees make $15-$20/hour. And I am supposed to tip on that? It creates an expectation from the employees and when you don't tip (this "optional" tip), you receive poor service it seems. I tip very well when I am at a restaurant. 25-30%. Tipping at a drive in window...
