Chick It Out: Our First Taste of Raising Cane’s This was our first visit to Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers restaurant. We had seen one in New York City last summer but not had the time to call in. On this occasion we were passing through Union Station in D.C. with a lot of spare time, so took the opportunity to finally give them a try (Sat, May 31, 2025). Using the electronic kiosk, we ordered: 🍗 The Box Combo (4 chicken fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Texas Toast, Cane’s Sauce, Coleslaw and regular Coke) = $13.49 🍗 The Box Combo (4 chicken fingers, Crinkle-Cut Fries, Texas Toast, Cane’s Sauce, Coleslaw and regular Lemonade) = $13.79 (inc. $.30 upcharge for lemonade) ❌ Cane’s Sauce = $.49 (they didn’t provide it) 🍴 Utensils = $0.00 👜 Bag = $.05 🐶 Collectible Graduation Plush Puppy = $9.99 😢 Tax = $3.78 💰 Total = $41.59 The restaurant was heaving and we briefly had to line up outside in a queue for the two electronic kiosks. Despite this, service was swift - the bagged food arrived in exactly 5 minutes. Unfortunately, our order wasn’t accurate - the server forgot to put in the additional Cane’s Sauce and they also forgot to put in the $9.99 collectible puppy plushy; we noticed the latter was missing and had to ask for it. The restaurant was modern and vibrantly decorated with a large plastic yellow dog in the corner - what was with the dogs? We later discovered that the chain was named after one of the co-founder’s Labrador Retriever, Raising Cane! Mystery solved. We took our boxes to a nearby food court, as all Raising Cane’s tables were high without chairs - not the most comfortable way to enjoy your food. 👍 Our chicken fingers were hot and juicy and the portion size was very filling, making this a substantial lunch. 👍 We enjoyed trying the Cane’s Sauce and coleslaw. 👍 The Texas Toast, adorned with sesame seeds, had a light buttery and garlic flavor and was interesting to try. 👍 The lemonade was refreshing and worth the $.30 upcharge. The flavors of the battered chicken fingers were considerably different to the competitors we were familiar with, KFC and Popeyes, but that didn’t necessarily make them any better. Raising Cane’s was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, in 1996 and is soon to celebrate its 30th birthday. We are sure we will see more of their restaurants when our U.S. travels continue and we would call in again.

While I was so excited to try Canes because I come from OHIO, my experience didn’t go so well. I placed my order online at 1:19 pm minded I was already standing at the mobile order side when I did. Yes it was busy. It said to wait 10 to 15 min. I was right in the front waiting because there was a lot of people. People went and came and went and came. Around 1:40 pm I realized that the regular line had moved at least 5 times and my food was nowhere to be seen. I went up to the counter and waited on someone to come help me but the my walked and talked to other people while ignoring me. I understand everyone is busy and I don’t mind waiting to be taken care off but they ignored me the entire time. I proceeded to go to the regular line since nobody had time for me. Waited in line for 5 more min and then I got to the cashier where I was told that I needed to ask someone for my food (which I tried to do multiple times with every single one of them ignoring me) They were a little annoyed and I understand I was being annoying, but the manager came and told me that I would get a refund, to which I was very thankful

**5-Star Review for Raising Cane's** Raising Cane's is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves delicious fried chicken! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu is straightforward, focusing on what they do best: fresh, high-quality chicken fingers that are perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The standout item for me is definitely the chicken fingers—they're simply amazing! Paired with their signature Cane's sauce, each bite is a flavorful experience. The crinkle-cut fries are the perfect side, and the coleslaw adds a refreshing touch to the meal. I also appreciate the fast and friendly service. The staff is always cheerful and efficient, ensuring that your food is prepared quickly, so you can enjoy it hot and fresh. Overall, Raising Cane's delivers a fantastic dining experience with great food and excellent service. I highly recommend it to anyone craving some mouthwatering chicken!

Unparalleled Experience at Raising Cane's - A Must-Try for Chicken Lovers

If you’re a fan of chicken, Raising Cane’s is a destination you cannot afford to miss. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere that perfectly complements the mouthwatering aroma of freshly cooked chicken tenders.

The Food: The menu is simple, and that’s the beauty of it. Raising Cane’s focuses on doing one thing exceptionally well – chicken fingers. Their chicken is always cooked to perfection: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Cane’s Sauce, a secret recipe, is the perfect companion to the tenders, offering a flavor that’s tangy, creamy, and a little bit of heaven in every bite. Don’t forget the crinkle-cut fries and Texas toast, both of which are equally delightful and serve as the ideal sidekick to the main star – the chicken!

The Service: The staff at Raising Cane’s is consistently courteous, efficient, and always eager to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. Even during peak hours, the service remains impressively quick without compromising the quality of food or customer service.

The Ambiance: The restaurant’s ambiance is casual and welcoming, with a touch of fun in the décor, often reflecting the local community. It’s a great place to bring family or friends for a relaxed, satisfying meal.

Value for Money: For the quality and portion size, Raising Cane’s offers great value. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the consistently high quality of the food.

Overall: Raising Cane’s delivers an exceptional dining experience by mastering the art of simplicity. Whether you’re a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, the quality, flavor, and service will keep you coming back for more. If you haven’t tried Raising Cane’s yet, you’re missing out on one of the best chicken experiences out there!
