We stay at this hotel several times when we are in Washington D.C. and their breakfast buffet at this Hilton Garden Inn is very good. They have an omelette station where you can have yours made to order, the thick breakfast sausage was the best I've ever had anywhere, and the cut up natural fresh fruit was consistently great day after day. There were also assorted breads, cereals, and hash brown potatoes that looked good too for those who enjoy carbohydrates and sugary items for those who may want to gain weight:) We would hardly recommend it for a hearty breakfast. Overall it was underwhelming. I believe they were understaffed when we were here because we had two people waiting us and they were not in sync. They forgot to take our order after we ordered drinks and an appetizer, i actually had to ask if we could place our order. Plus, it took quite a while for our beverages and appetizer to arrive. I believe the meatball appetizer was somewhat raw which was surprising considering the outside was crunchy. I ordered the steak incorrectly so I will not be reviewing that but everything we ordered was very well presented.

Didn't make a reservation at Old Ebbitt, so decided to eat at the hotel. Showed up at 5pm and they had plenty of space. The prices are a bit steep (which is to be expected of any restaurant with a captive hotel audience). Food itself was pretty good and came out fast. They have some decent craft beers on tap too. Service was very friendly.

I’ll start with this. It was not very busy and I dined alone. But still was waiting constantly for anything and everything. Barely checked on me. I believe his name was Alexander/Alex. He was waiting a table next to me. And checked on me more than my own server did. I wish I could have had him as a server.

I travel far and very often. I rarely write reviews but had to for here. I got the steak Frites. I ordered my steak medium. Again, I will say that the steak was far from medium. It was well done (I assume because my server was ignoring me all night; the steak was resting in the window and continued to cook). The steak was still good, fat was melting and seasoned perfect. The frites (fries) were par. Just fries.

I also got the raspberry cheesecake. This was very good. Very rich for my liking but still very good all around. The service is what I would say brings this place down. Will not be back myself, but still worth a try for...

My wife and i wanted breakfast close to our hotel and this looked like the right spot. Pictures on line are inaccurate as breakfast was a buffet of bland cafeteria foods that were extremely overpriced. Service was underpar due to the fact everyone going in was basically being suckered. Upon paying the check the waitress says their computers are down and must pay with cash. Conveniently they have an ATM with a $5 ATM fee. Why were there no signs posted and why didn't the waitress advise people upon entering that they were experiencing this sort of problem?? Because they knew many people would walk away since most people pay with cards these days. Therefore that's why i say they are playing people for sucker's. I do not recommend this place in the least!!! If I could I would give negative stars because they don't deserve one. Complete trash, don't waste your hard earned money...

Pass. They had only a handful of entrees and due to a fryer issue, they couldn't even do a couple of those. The positive is that the wings they ended up baking for me, although taking a really long time were tasty. But my dinner never came. They could only offer substitutes for things that weren't even close. The manager did come by voluntarily and offer to comp a second drink for us. But I had only planned to come out and have one drink with dinner. The waitress may have been very new, or at least I hope. The kitchen was trying the best they could to work down equipment. But thinking outside the box wasn't their specialty. I could have gone there again but I took a taxi out after that and never ate there again on...
