Zeke's Coffee of DC - Downtown — Restaurant in Washington

I recently visited this coffee shop and had a lovely experience overall. The coffee was exceptional, rich and flavorful, hitting all the right notes. The croissants were also a standout—fluffy, light, and completely irresistible. I ended up ordering two, as they were just too good to pass up!

However, there are a couple of areas where I think they could improve. First, the floor could really use a cleaning chemical or soap—it felt a bit sticky in spots, which took away from the otherwise pleasant atmosphere. Second, while the employees were polite and greeted me, they seemed a little serious and didn’t smile much. A little warmth in their interactions could go a long way in making the experience even more inviting.

All in all, great coffee and pastries, but a couple of small improvements would elevate the place...

Found this place having started a job in DC a while ago, huge fan ever since. It’s now my daily pilgrimage when I go into the office once a week. Nice atmosphere, staff are nice. Always make it a point to get a bag to take home to hubby who is also a fan.

Now that we know that they are at the Rockville Farmers market, we make it a couples morning moment. Hubby loves the iced coffee. The young lady that I’ve seen there twice is always so nice. When we went today, we bought our two bags and iced coffee. Hubby was so delighted with his coffee, had to go back for another. The young lady remembered us and introduced him to the concentrated growler. Again, hubby was delighted. Never seen his eyes get so big over the idea of the concentrated version. Thank you! Lol!

The service here is so underwhelming. I went yesterday and there was no line AKA it was slow. I love the zekes on rhode island ave but I came here because I was nearby. I ordered a basic coffee with oatmilk. The employee didnt add the milk so when I asked for it he wiped the rim of the opened oat milk container with his bare hand the same one he was using to ring order/collect payment (very unsanitary). Then when he did add the milk he struggled to close it as the liquid was filled to the tippy top and gave me the cup overflowing (why not put it in a bigger cup) I had to wait 5 minutes to get an extra cup as customers began to come in. Then to be cursing none stop as FOH employees amongst themselves for customer to hear is so unprofessional. I will never return to...
