Horrible experience. I stopped in just to grab a coffee, but the staff member was not welcoming at all. When I asked for a coffee, she said they didn’t have regular coffee only espresso. So I decided to get a pumpkin spice latte instead. Either they should learn how to make coffee properly, or they simply shouldn’t sell it. There was no flavor at all just warm milk. I threw it away. Total waste of money. As soon as I walked in, there was an extremely strong chemical smell almost like Clorox that made it hard to breathe. I asked about it, and she said it was because they were closing. If the store is still open, such strong cleaning products shouldn’t be used around customers it’s a serious health concern. My throat was burning from the smell, and I had to leave quickly. I was planning to get some dessert and chocolate too, but after her rude attitude, I decided not to. Definitely not the kind of warm, welcoming Turkish...

I had the mocha with oat milk and almond croissant. I've tried many coffees in DC and Dolphin so far has some of the best coffee. It's strong and flavorful. I asked for it to be a lot less sweet which they obliged. The almond croissant was delicious. I enjoyed the texture of the center filling. I don't like it super gooey and it wasn't. It was more solid. The service was amazing and friendly. They have all sorts of pastries. It seems to be centered around Mediterranean type pastries like baklava and Turkish delight. I really enjoy coffee shops that make their coffee more in that style. I do highly recommend it. The space is small but works. Also, there's no bathroom so you may want to...

The barista was very nice and helpful but unfortunately my order didn’t come out right. I asked for a less sweet oat milk strawberry matcha. What I got was a hardly-any-strawberry whole milk matcha. It didn’t help that there were two customers in there blocking the area with the trash, straws, and napkins, and talking loudly, (not the cafe’s fault, of course), but maybe the barista couldn’t hear my order as a result?! They were out of feta for the sandwich I wanted, so the biscoff croissant was good (and yummy) alternative , and I appreciated that the barista offered to toast it. All said, maybe I just had an off experience overall, so may try again...

Really good coffee shop serving really beautiful espresso and matcha drinks with fun flavors and combinations. I got the coconut espresso cloud which is like a espresso cold foam on coconut water, super refreshing and yum for the dc summer heat. They also offer some pastries and treats along with some savory sandwiches and quiche. Located just by the white house and McPherson station. The shop has a very good amount of indoor seating and some seating outside out front. Super nice staff, a truly great spot to stop and get a drink or a quick bite.

Dolphin Cafe is so cute! I stopped by before work to grab a coffee and keep myself awake for the day lol. I looked it up beforehand and saw the great reviews, but once I got there, I still had no idea what to order. Luckily, the barista was super sweet and patient. She recommended the Baklava latte since I mentioned I like sweet drinks and love Baklava. It was so good! Plus it came with a piece of Baklava on the side, which was such a nice touch. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their drinks. Highly recommend, 10/10!
