By far the worst experience I've had in forever. We were there for my grandsons 9th birthday. Had a total of 7 adults and 4 kids. My ticket had 2 adults and 2 kids. Sabrina our waitress was not at all acceptable for the task. I asked for sweet n low with my tea upon ordering, I asked again when they brought my tea and again 10 min later. She then said "it'll be a minute". After 5 min more, she brought the sweet n low. My tea was watered down by the time she finally brought it. Upon ordering, I asked for the kids salad to come out with the adult salads, she said ok. Then when the salads came out, the kids salad was missing. I asked her to bring it out, she out right refused, said "it would come out with the meal". Unacceptable customer service. Then it got worse from there. My ticket had 2 adult entrees and 2 kid entrees. They brought out one adult entree and the 2 kids entrees. Sabrina apologized and said she "must have not entered my meal". Ok, that happens, and I was fine with Sabrina saying it would be out asap. 15 min later I asked if it was on its way, she said she'd check. I had ordered the honey Chipotle crispers with fries. 5 min later she brought out plain crisper, no ranch, no fries. I then told her to take it back the plain, wrong for and cancel it from my check. The manager, Avery, then stopped by and asked what happened. I told him she forgot to drop my order, then brought the wrong order, and being all others were almost done eating, that I just wanted to cancel it. Avery apologized and walked away. Then the check comes.... They did comp $8.65 of the $14.99., meaning I had to pay $6.34 for 1 watered down glass of tea and a salad I had to give to a kid, due to their refusal to serve the kid salad as requested. I called Avery over and expressed I didn't feel this was acceptable. His response was "I apologized to you, that's all you deserve ", and walked away. Needless to say, I will not return and I will post my experience all over social media, local and beyond, groups. Chili's.... you failed to do your job. While mistakes happen, you failed to make it right.

Read moreCame to celebrate our daughter's 9th birthday. Her choice. When entering the restaurant there were 3 people waiting to see the hostess in front of our family. We were seated in about 5 minutes. Upon arriving at our table, we were one chair and a high chair short. The table appears to still have crumbs from the last person on it. We ordered 2 kids meals, 2 of the 3 for 10 meals, and chips and queso. The appetizer came quickly. We asked for an extra plate for the queso for our youngest but it never came. Everyone was out of drinks before our meal came but the glasses (3 waters and a chocolate milk) were never refilled. I actually found a pitcher of water by leaving the dining room and going to the bar and was able to refill the water glasses. Once our meal arrived, the dirty plates from our appetizer, and 2 house salads were left on our table (there was not much room). Our waiter brought my husband a second president margarita in a pint glass-honestly, it looked like mountain dew, but our expectations were low at this point. After finishing our meal, without a refill on the chocolate milk and only the refill I was able to supply on water, we went to pay on the ziosk and saw that our bill was incorrect. We waited for about 7-10 minutes, had time for 3 kids to use the restroom and still hadn't seen our waiter to get it fixed. I went back to the bar and asked someone to send someone over about our bill. I took our girls to the car while my husband paid. When our waiter came over after a few minutes, he argued that the price on the bill was correct because the price on the menu was only if you sat at the bar. The problem with the bill was around the $5 add on for Presidentes...which as shown in the picture below, does NOT stipulate sitting at the bar. Overall, underwhelming experience. Was more upsetting that the 9 year old apologized to the whole family for "choosing there" for her...
Read moreI recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at the Chili's in Watauga 2 weeks a go and just to find out her staff is just as incapable as she is because of today but let me tell you what put the bad taste in my mouth. I must say, it was absolutely dreadful from start to finish. The primary issue? The management – or, more specifically, the general manager Carolyn.
From the moment we walked in, her demeanor set the tone for what would become an incredibly disappointing evening. Rather than a warm welcome, we were met with rudeness that was completely unacceptable. It seemed as though Carolyn took pleasure in scolding her staff in front of customers, which not only embarrassed them but also made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. It is evident that she lacks the basic management skills needed to lead a team effectively.
The service was painfully slow, and when we expressed our concerns, Carolyn dismissed us with a condescending attitude that was nothing short of appalling. Instead of addressing our feedback, she chose to belittle us as if we were the problem, rather than acknowledging the poor service her restaurant provides.
To top it all off, the food was subpar at best. Our orders were mixed up, and what we did receive was not up to Chili's standard – cold, bland, and hardly appetizing. It’s astonishing how a well-known chain can fail so miserably in both management and food quality.
After this experience, I can confidently say that I will never return to the Chili's in Watauga. If you value good service, a respectful atmosphere, and decent food, I highly recommend you take your business elsewhere. Save yourself the disappointment – there are far better dining options in the area that won’t leave you questioning your...
