Tequila's Latin Fusion — Restaurant in Waterbury

I have been going to Tequila's off and on for many years. The wait staff are always very pleasant. The chips and salsa are excellent while you wait for your dinner. I have been noticing the past few visits that the food doesn't seem to be as fresh as it used to be a while back. My chimmichanga wasn't as crunchy on the outside as it used to be either. It is softer for some reason. The presentation on the plate is the same as it has been for years, kind of boring. There is nothing exciting at all about the experience. Everything is just o.k. at best. The atmosphere really needs a face lift. They need new decor and paint. Very dingy and old looking. The floors are tiled and I understand that it can be expensive to clean them professionally, but I really cannot stand the chemical smell in the entire restaurant from what ever they use to clean the floors with. The smell of chemical cleaner is there every time I go. They seem to cater to the bar area the most. The restaurant is never usually filled with many people. If they decide to update their decor and get rid of the chemical smell, it might be more inviting to people. Sadly to say, I won't be going back until I know that they have made some...

The food overall was great. The waiter was great couldn't complain about 1 thing till we got the bill and there was something we didn't order on it. First time being there when this did came out we thought this is how it was supposed to be and in that case the waiter had messed up what we told him(he wasn't writing anything down and assumed himself on what to make of what we wanted). Fine cool. I'll go half in it since we ate it but it wasn't our mistake, so the manager has an attitude and says well don't come back, sir, that is not what u say to someone as a restaurant owner because I want to come back but your comment will make me not, anyways he fixes my receipt and I also see they charge you off rip gratitude with your meal so with that being said I don't feel I need to leave a cash tip. But still left the only dollar I had in my wallet. So later I go home and I see a charge from there for almost $20 more. What to think of that...... Let them keep it or not go back nor...

Good afternoon. I would love to leave an incredible review or opinion about this place. I really loved the atmosphere since it is very close to the Latin fusion experience. The food, apart from being precisely juicy in meats, in salty foods they respect the flavor a lot and what a shame for 2 opinions below mine which comes from the person José Ortiz with whom when trying to be critical he does not realize that he barely has 2 reviews of restaurants and it gives a lot to think about as it is a new account and another terrible review is from an establishment that is next door trying to give a bad reputation to earn its own.
