I wanted to start off by saying that I have made numerous trips to this restaurant over the past few weeks for take out or more recently for dine in and the restaurant was closed. So this time I decided to call ahead and ask if they were open for lunch. When I did, they said they were so I made the trip. When I arrived I was greeted at the door by apparently the only server for the shift and she said she wouldn't be able to seat me because she already had 4 tables. After scanning the restaurant I noticed she had 4 tables each with 2 guests in them. I am in the military and was on a lunch break which is why I called ahead because I didn't want to waste a trip if they weren't even open but something felt off about her telling me this. This is the first time I felt discriminated against for being in the military, I hope it is not the case but this was my impression. I was a server before joining the military and I regularly served 5-6 tables of 3-5 people each table so when I saw only 8 people in the restaurant and she wasn't going to serve me, that was why I felt discriminated against. Before COVID I would visit Chili's 2-4 times a week and being that the military just allowed us to once again be able to visit restaurants I was looking forward to finally being able to take lunch breaks at Chili's again. But now, I'm not even sure if I want to go back to this restaurant. Either because of the poor manner in which it is run or having to walk away feeling discriminated against. Placed my original order on 7/30 at 10:30pm silly Me when they close at 11pm I was hungry the Sour diesel had kicked in so I wasn't thinking. So I Ordered the triple sampler which was recooked and cold my mini burgers was burned at the top and bottom , also order a Party platter of wings that were Definitely recooked and dip in BarBQue sauce. I was Soooooooo Blown like a struck match. I called and spoke Joe in which he offered me a refund. I declined because we eat here often and for the most the food be edible so I wanted my order Remade at a later date and they were closed btw. So here we are Today and I called looking for Joe they advised Joe was not in however they remember my order and know it was wings that needed to be replaced. I asked did they need my ticket number she said No. You would think they would try to be a little bit more aware of what they brought out to ME. What was I thinking First off I ORDERED A PARTY PLATTER they stay promoting while you on hold waiting for someone to answer the phone and WHAT I GOT WAS 6.5 Wings. Which are pictured below cause a picture is worth a thousand words and I know some people will be like oh She just Mad No LOOK AT THIS and tell me 38 dollars later and 2 attempts later my food would be finger licking INSTEAD I'm Back Feeling like Chili's count your days This is unacceptable I would rather drive to gurnee and comeback and put my food in microwave for All That ....
ย ย ย Read moreA fiend and I decided to have dinner there after not seeing each other in years. I will say the young lady that seated us was quick in getting us a seat being that I was using a cane. The waiter did a great job accommodating us during our visit. The food and drinks were appetizing as well. However, being a person who has worked in food service I noticed a young lady who was working the seating area near the bar doing a far less than stellar job keeping the area clean. I watched here do a poor job sweeping the floor first. She didn't bother to move the chairs as she swept leaving debris behind on the floors near the base of the tables. Then I watched her knock over a ketchup bottle which hit the floor. Several other patrons sitting by noticed this as well. She picked the bottle up and placed it back on the table without checking for any potential damage or even sanitizing it. She appeared to just be doing enough to keep her job. The gentleman who was at the from appearing to be the supervisor didn't seem to be paying close attention to her performance leading me to believe this might just be the culture at this establishment. I quite certain I and anyone else I know will be visiting this particular site any time soon. Also, I didn't see the tables being cleaned properly as well. the wiping was quick and no attention was paid to frequently touched areas of the tables such as the sides or underneath where children touch often. I didn't even see the seats...
