MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Waukegan

Ordered for the first time, the garlic cheesey bread was nothing but rosemary, with a tiny amount of minced garlic, garlic that you cant even taste. The rosemary was so over powering that it just could not be ate. Over cooked crust. But had a good amount of cheese. All in all would not recomend. The pizza with portobello mushrooms and sausage, the sausage was good however the mushrooms were way undercooked and I was drinking that pizza more then eating it. To a point that the thin crust was dang near a paste rather then crust. The red dipping sauce was extremely bland, expected it to taste more like marinara sauce, but it tasted as though they put tomato sauce and tomato paste together and said ehh that looks right. First time eating here, was excited to try it. Until the staff started being rude. I told the employee making my pizza i wanted my orders to go. The lady that was putting pizza in the oven put my pizzas on a plate. I kindly said my orders are to go. With attitude she put the pizzas in a box. I then asked her what extra sauces she has and she very quietly and rudely pointed to a sign with sauces. She then put the pizza lids on the box half on and half off and put them on the counter. I then told her thank you because I have manners and she said nothing in return all because I stated I wanted my order to go. Pizza was poorly cut. Great place to get pizza, especially if you like thin crust or not so much dough, less carbs know what I mean. You can customize your own pizza. You can pick your sauces, cheese, and toppings. It's sorta like subway, chipotle, and panda express in the sense of choosing your own preferences, including vegetarian options. The staff was helpful and welcoming. I was a little confused but the staff help guide me. It was about $12 I think for a pizza and a beer I got. Great price for a personal pizza and drink. It was also very clean when I visited.
