McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Waxahachie

Update 2: My husband's sandwich was good. Both soups were good, but cold. I was missing sherry shallot dressing for the salad. Ended up having to eat it dry, as we dont normally keep dressing in our home.The cookie was undercooked as well with a sticker that said Wednesday on it for a Saturday order. Since it was undercooked and raw we didn't take the chance of eating it. The tea was unsweet, even though we ordered sweet. Not sure why they don't understand the difference between the two, and keep sending the incorrect one? No chicken in the savannah chopped salad.

Overall we've decided to not order from here again. I think if we've given you 2 chances and it's still not done correctly, we won't waste our time or gas to drive to Waxahachie and back.

I spoke with Chelsea and she offered us a refund. She was very kind to rectify the issue. We will try them again and will hope to be able to update our rating.

Our entire order was incorrect. Ordered Savanah chopped salad had no chicken and no avocado that was an extra payment. Grilled chicken club with no honey mustard added olives, came with the honey mustard and no olives. Husband is allergic to honey mustard. They also threw the 2 toothpicks inside both of the sandwich parts and when i bit into it, it stabbed my gum, and it ended up bleeding. Ordered 2 sweet teas and got 2 unsweet teas. It's like they didn't bother looking at the order. Then the young guy that brought the items to curbside had an attitude about delivering to the car. So disappointing as I order from mcalisters all over dfw and never had so many incorrect items. This is a first and sadly we won't be going back. Especially when my husband had to drive 20 minutes there and back only because I had a craving for...

I'm so disappointed right now and really struggling to enen give this McAllister location two stars. I absolutely love this place yet the customer service level differs from the one in Mesquite Texas. I can honestly say the server who took my order she was very courteous my entire visit. I ordered the italian sandwich and a salad. I love this place so much I couldn't resist taking a bite before I drove off I'm glad I did. The meat and the cheese on my sandwich was totally burnt and I'm not exaggerating even Ray Charles could see this. Needless to say I took it right back and they did offer to remake it infact I should have just eaten the burnt one because the remake was worst. My sandwich was loaded with spicy mustard that over powered any other flavor and prepared messy until I didn't want to eat it. Now on the other hand the Mesquite location each and every employee is waiting to greet you with a smile as soon as you open the door. It gives you the same feeling when you arrive at a family gathering for Thanksgiving. The food is always exceptional and the manager doesn't let you leave without feedback and many thanks for your business. McAllisters is a place that my co-workers and I visit daily for lunch and it kind of sucks to go from having such great service to service that sucks. Felicity, the assistant manager, was ah-mazing! I received a spur-of-the-moment-notice from my client that I needed to place a catering order for 30 hungry people, and the food needed to be there asap. I began my online line search of locations that catered/delivered and could get the food there within 1- 2 hours for that number of people. I came up short. The situation was looking dire. Most restaurants wanted a day notice for catering requests (understandable!). I found a glimmer of hope when McAlister's catering website said that I could call the store directly to see if they could accommodate my request. That's when I met Felicity. She asked all the right questions to find out the specifics and took action. She was even ready with suggestions when I didn't know what to order that would satisfy the needs of 30 different people's tastes. Did I think of something sweet to add or drinks? No! But she did. And this above-and-beyond-story does not stop there. Normally, delivery with such short notice would be impossible, but she magically arranged that too - even set up notices so that I could track the order to its destination. After delivery was completed, she called to follow-up with me. Was I happy? Yes! She is a star! I know there is a team behind her too that made this happen, and I thank them as well.
