Disappointing in every way. Called the day b4 as I had family that came to town. Was looking for a pizza place that served beer. Was advised by the boy on the phone that the do have some beer on hand. So today My out of state family members show up first they ordered and then texted me to say Godfathers does not serve beer. I went and ordered so the boy taking orders by phone helped me and he then said well we so have some beer in back but when they run out they are out until they get more. I then ordered 3 beers for my elders that were told they dont serve beer And so I ordered my order of food. Was told they would bring out the beer. After waiting a good 10 min. I went to the counter and asked if we could have the beers we ordered. Was brought 2 of 3 and as the kid brought them out the manager in the kitchen said no more beers we are out. I said I ordered 3 so the girl was given permission to grab the 1 other beer and was told not to sell any more we are out. I could tell that was a lie by the SUPV response and the way he said it to his employees. So we waited and finally receive 1 pizza we ordered and 1 mini pizza after I asked about that. Not realizing as we were all busy visiting and eating. That we were never brought out our breadsticks nor our chocolate chip cookie. So the gal yelled to the back looking for these items. I told her we were ready to leave so we no longer wanted those items as it was too late now and that I would just prefer a refund. I had to repeat my self 3 times b4 it was clear. And then she said I need to check with my manager. She told them. You could tell he was upset by his reaction. He said he would a minute. So the gal relayed that info. The manager then threw the empty box he had in hand and came up front acting like he was all friendly. I explained my issues and he gave me a pizza credit plus a refund. Sad to say. I will use the credit to order out. I was given but after that I don't plan to go back there as long as that manager is running the place as he is a 2 faced employee. He should be fired as far as I am concerned. I was so disappointed as godfathers was my favorite place to eat always growing up. To top it of it was 52 degrees only. We all had to eat with our winter coats on. After asking about the heat they said they have had someone out for 2 days now trying to get the heat going. Oddly we realized as we were walking out the doors that the entry way was toasty warm. And a comment was made if they don't have heat in the restaurant why don't they keep these doors open as there was plenty of heat there. This experience was bad. Just terrible and very disappointing as I highly recommended godfathers as it was always so good on 10th street and on Minnesota Ave here in Sioux Falls SD. I will not recommend this Godfathers to anyone ever in...
Read moreI normally do not write any kind of reviews but I just had to this time. Now, I love Godfather's... It is one of the best pizza places "in my opinion." However, last Friday June 27th, 2025 was a disaster. I called Godfathers at 5:15 and spoke to a very friendly person and she asked me to pick up the pizza at 5:45 and I told her that I would appreciate it if she could have it ready by 6:15 pm and she said yes. We got there and the girl working the drive through told us to go around and then she would bring the food out. I knew by the way that she was running around looking for our pizza, that they forgot to make it. We sat there for 15 minutes as customers came in and out of the store. Finally we decided to go in and ask about our food because it has now been about 2 1/2 hours. There were also about 8 others waiting... When asked how long our food would be.... with a raised voice told me that they are so backed up and couldn't give us a timeline. She asked what my name was and went to look through the tickets at which time, she ran to the back and never came back out to tell us. We heard nothing but swearing going on in the back while they were making the food. Finally went back up the counter as we knew that 3 of our 4 items were sitting in the window and the employees were in the back yelling and swearing at each other about our last item. When we asked the girl at the register, she basically ignored us and then refused to ask the employees in the back, how much longer it would be for our taco pizza. By now, it's going on 3 hours. We finally just asked for our money back.. She refunded our money but no apology's or a discount on our next pizza. Even though I will most likely will go back to Godfathers, I would have to say that this is probably the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE that I have entailed in a fast...
Read moreHeavens to Mergatroid! What can I say here? I should be bias because Godfathers pizza has a special place in my nostalgia trove so I was hoping this long awaited visit to this location would satiate that mental request.
I came in for a little late lunch last Tuesday around 2PM and upon parking my car I was greeted with what I assumed the host of the restaurant outside my car telling me I need to leave all my bags in my car. I olbige but am uneasy given the man's leathery complexion. WHo cares, I'm hungry for some Godfathers, ya know?
Going inside, it is mostly empty tables with one or two occupied by a folks having what seem to be important but discreet conversations. There is a sense of sadness around the restaurant especially when my eyes reach the adolescent greeting me at the register.
I say hello and no response, I then ask for a large order of meatballs and two small pizzas (one for later, I just like having the other one ready in case I have to leave on a call). The teen begrudgingly says I "have to talk to Pauly to get the order" and that it will be done soon. I go to use the bathroom and as I'm washing my hands there's a knock on the door. I jump reflexively and drop the last of my heart pills in the drain. Opening the bathroom door I find a paper bag with "Kennepth" written on it. Getting to my car i look inside the bag to find what appear to just be two Whole Foods pizzas hastily put into a Godfathers bag.
Note of advice to Godfathers fans of Sioux Falls, I work as a credit investigator and this place shows all the clear signs of credit fraud and most likely is not here to serve food and is just a hangout for friends...
