I’ve been to a different location, so with my mom in town I figured we could go to Fryn Pan. Service was good at first, but then when we got our food we were basically dismissed. We had taken 1-2 bites out of our burgers and our server slipped the check on our table. My drink was empty the entire time I ate my burger and fries. My mom had coffee and she ended up offering me coffee because our server kept looking at my drink and neglected to ask if I wanted a refill. If I’m paying $2.59 for soda, I should at least get one refill. Once we finished eating, a manager was seating some people and so my mom and I discussed how it would be nice to wash down the taste of my French fries. Our server magically appeared about 3 minutes later asking if we wanted dessert, asked if I wanted a refill, and it was like she completely changed personalities. She ended up being the one to ring us up too and even with my mom reducing her tip because of her mediocre service, she still thanked her while she was writing the tip. As someone who has worked in the food industry, you never ever watch your customers write your tip down. Amanda seemed nice, but she was having a rough day. Our food was...
Read moreI expected more. I was excited and craving the sour cream raisin pie...it was not what I expected compared to Lange's in Pipestone, MN. Our waistress however was pleasant but the food did not impress me at all. We purchased our meals then meals for our fam of 5 at home to go. Everyone was disappointed with their choices. It was such a bummer. The best thing going for that particular dinner was the beef barley soup. I wish that I could give more stars but I have to be honest. I wouldn't go there again.
Update: To whomever resonded back: Yes! Indeed you are correct....you are NOT Lange's you're Fryin' Pan and like I stated...after ordering over $200 in one setting for my family not ONE person enjoyed their food. So forget about the pie...that's minor. Work on your entire presentation, and get some real cooks. The food all together was awful. It was our anniversary and it definitely left a bad taste in our mouths. Great service starts at the top and trickles down. From your snard remark I can see "why" the food doesn't taste good. Forget fixing the food, fix your attitude! I would NOT recommend this location to dine to anyone. ...
Read moreWaited quite a bit to get seated although the place was nearly empty. No salad bar available and when I asked the server he said "yah, no one was here so we didn't put anything out today" Okaaaaay... Sat at a table that had been cleared of dishes, but not washed. Seven minutes later he brought by two menus but didn't even offer to get any drinks. How hard is it for two coffees?? Then he chatted with the other staff members, bussed three dirty tables but never came back to take our order.Waited over ten more minutes and then thought Okay, I certainly can get better service anywhere -- so we stand up, put or jackets on and leave. On the way out the door, the same oblivious dude calls out "thank you for coming, have a good rest of your day!". Uh... Yah, and I left your generous tip of $0.00 on the table. We've gone to the other Frying Pan locations and are happy with the food and service. BUT every time we come here there's ALWAYS issues with food, staff or waiting for a long time in an empty dining room. Think we'll skip it from now on. Perkins stands head & shoulders above this place!! And it's sad that no one here can get their...
