Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Wayne Township

First time visit but not the last. Excellent chicken fingers, lightly spiced and breaded as well as juicy and tender. They have a nice selection of dipping sauces and a gravy that while packaged, is still pretty good. I also got the honey mustard. It's pretty basic. The Ranch is good but the Cayenne Ranch was kind of odd tasting. It might be yogurt based and a little tangy because of it. I just wish that they offered a spicy version of the chicken fingers, then not much more than Ranch would be needed. I had the fried okra as my side, I am a Southerner and never pass up an opportunity for fried okra...lol! It was as good as you'll get other than homemade. My daughter had the fried mushrooms and they were pretty good but I'm not a huge shroom fan so that's about the best I can say about them but my daughter really liked them. My son had the Cayenne Ranch Chicken Sandwich but I didn't have a bite of it. My daughter did though and they both said it was good and they are 10 and 13. My son had the mac and cheese as his side and it was cheesy and tasty to all of us. They have a standard soda machine with Coke products, but even better (at least to me) is they have fresh brewed (as opposed to that nasty instant stuff from the machine) raspberry, peach, sweet and unsweet teas. They also have fresh lemonade and cranberry lemonade. So now I have a place to get my beloved sweet tea other than from home and the bonus is they also have pelletized ice...lol! Extremely disappointed with our visit. First, the pop machines were not ready for use; I tried filling my cup up with soda and it sprayed all over. I notified staff and they said they would get the necessary pieces put back in soon, but this did not occur the entire time while we were there, so we were stuck with water despite having paid for drinks. Then, we went outside to sit in the patio area, but the door was locked from the outside, so were stuck out there. Another guest eventually came to let us back in and I notified staff, to which they just replied ‘we haven’t unlocked it yet’, rather than apologizing and proceeding to unlock it. After moving inside and getting our food, my young daughter had to go to the bathroom, and upon our return to the table a few minutes later, our table had been completely cleaned off. My daughter had yet to start eating her meal, and I had barely started my sandwich and fries, so it should have been clear we weren’t yet finished. This was made even more frustrating as when I told staff, they simply said they thought we were done, and proceeded to walk away. Again, our plates were nearly all full of food and we were only away from our table for a couple of minutes. Again, staff didn’t apologize and never offered to remake our food or otherwise make things right. All in all, we paid for a meal we never got to enjoy. Mistakes happen, but there was absolutely zero accountability from staff to make things right on any of the issues experienced. We used to be regulars, but not sure we will be...

Worst service ever! Went through the drive thru, they repeated my order 3 times.. leave.. wrong order, ok no problem , park go inside.. the first lady didn't even seem to even care. Then she says I need to see the receipt, it's in the car, I pointed to the lady that JUST helped me in the drive thru who repeated my order 2 times to me and asked to have her be brought over to speak to her. She grabs my food and brings it to back, I can see all this happening. Tells what I'm assuming a extremely rude manager lady... I see her role her eyes and start looking at all the food confused, I spoke loudly and let her know what I actually had.. I was not once rude , they were extremelyyy busy , no reason to be so rude to me when YOU messed up my order not me. Then I look again at the second bag I receive.
