I've been to this location twice. The first time it was great and comparable to the quality of the DFW locations I've been to. I went again last week and it wasn't the same experience. My food was bland and I could barely even taste salt, and they forgot the sauces for 2/3 of our order. Both of those things are forgivable, just a bit inconvenient.
The more irritating part was the price of the margarita I got. They're already overpriced IMO at nearly $7 (I know, it's alcohol, but you can get them for cheaper at other places) but I'm willing to pay that since it's something I only get every few months. I ordered a frozen strawberry margarita and right there on the menu at the bar it was listed as costing $6.something. The bartender told me my total and I thought he said $7.26, but when I got the receipt I realized he said $10.26. Ten??? Was I ripped off? I didn't want to bring it up or cause a scene so I let it be, but wow. If I wasn't ripped off and that truly is the price of a margarita, that needs to be reflected on the menu.
I've been trying to call so I can get some clarification on the price, but after 10+ calls over two days so far, no one has answered the phone. Must be impossible for anyone to order by phone at this location since no one will pick up that line or the manager's line.
The whole experience of this trip, plus not being able to reach ANYONE by phone, has probably turned me off this...
Read moreI'm being generous with the stars because of the potential this local restaurant has. The food was okay despite it was brought out cold. What turned me off completely was the insane, mismanagement of this place. I brought to the managers attention that the bus-lady was cleaning tables with the same rag she was wiping the tops of the trash can with. He didn't say a word at all to address it with me when I quietly took him aside but looked super nervous and unsure of what to do. When we arrived there were also no menus to look at while waiting in line. When bringing this to the attention of the cashier he said "oh they are all here in front" but no attempts to put any where other patrons are waiting. Many people were waiting with numbers in hand and no table to sit at....again maybe a food delivery issue or cleaning of tables issue but definitely a process breakdown! It took forever for the food to come out yet it was cold....a mystery! We will not be back which is a shame because the food could be great if delivered fresh, hot and not in such a careless manner. Be mindful of cleanliness (especially during flu season). It doesn't take a genius to sit back and observe people working inefficiently. When you have a small establishment, your people need to be on top of their game. Very disappointing because Clearlake area was in need of a new, exciting...
Read moreI got a taco, it's called "Democrat" is made out of Barbacoa, I asked to be a corn tortilla, because flour I only like to have it in the morning with Breakfast, that's just me, anyways, the Barbacoa taco was Cold, and the bad thing about it, is that it has some shredded white cheese on top and a bunch of chopped and sliced onions, that were very cold, some of them were Frozen, I almost didn't eat it, but I was so hungry and mad, I did not have much time to discuss that with anybody, the employees most of them are High School kids, they don't care, they don't take pride in what they do, so the results ara terrible, there was this cashier on it that he has 2 long earrings, I had never seen such of ridiculous oriental Guy, with some women's earrings like that, so, the food was less that ok, I definitely refer Laredo Taco Company over this Torchy tacos, you can find any of this at some gas stations and the good is not frozen, and it is much chipper than this ridiculous place, has more flavor and the salsas and onions are cut fresh every day, not like this place, I'm very disappointed about this place, I will probably not coming back, it is a waste of time, don't even come to this place, they have lots of improvement to do on the food and organization, have a good day, be...
