This review is just for the Wednesday night buffet. It was not fancy food but at least it was clean and made with care. I saw the manager checking on the food and said thanks for making fresh food because I could tell it was all freshly made unlike the nasty holiday buffet we had two nights earlier at Oglebay. He seemed to really care about what he made. You could tell that. I appreciate that. We liked the cheesy bread that was served at the beginning of the meal. The cheesy bread was soft and made with a nice tasting dough. The cheese in it was nice, too. We'd go back just for that. The wings were fine. I liked the interesting sauces that you could put on them like an asian sauce and the Jack and Coke sauce. The salad was just iceberg lettuce with some other things thrown on top but it was fresh cut and not wilted and the tomatoes on it were also fresh. The food is all very plain and not expensive ingredients but then it is a $10 buffet. At least everything was fresh and properly cooked which is more than I can say for a lot of places. I think they could have a better selection of pizza. They put out only one kind of pizza at a time on the buffet but then have a dessert pizza sitting there. Personally, I think dessert pizza is a bad idea to begin with and it would be better if they put out another type of regular pizza in place of the dessert pizza like maybe a white pizza or a buffalo chicken pizza or something. I don't want chocolate chips or strawberry jam/pie filling or apple pie filling on my pizza. Some people might like that but I would guess most people would prefer to have a second regular pizza option in place of a...
Read moreI’ve been eating here for years. (Before they moved here from behind the geriatric center). It has always been one of my favorite places to eat on Thursdays because of the buffet. I was so upset when they were stopped due to Covid like everyone else. Now that the buffet has been back up I’ve been here 3 times. Total disappointment. You walk in to be seated and the hostess looks completely confused and just says go in. I’m fine with seating myself but these girls just act like they don’t understand anything. I waited 15 minutes after seating myself before anyone brought silverware or asked what we wanted to drink. Bread never came out. The food was still great but even the pasta chef was terrible with service. He barely spoke and seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing. He was a young kid (which is fine) but someone needs to train him on how to cut the prime rib and speak more than grunt. Nobody came back to our table for refills or to ask how we were for almost a half an hour. This event used to be my favorite time out to eat. Now I just regret spending the...
Read moreUpon arrival of the restaurant, passed by 4 people whom went straight to the bar. Waited close to 10 minutes to be seated. Upon being seated, waited over 10 minutes for the waitress and then over 15 after getting drink orders. Upon getting orders, the waitress told us she'd be right back with cheesy bread. Watched 3 other tables wait just as long for service. Waitress then brought out the food, my wife stated her manicotti wasn't enjoyable, stated she had hard tomatoes in her sauce and was watery. My step son had a cheeseburger which he said was really good, and looked good. My Italian hoagie was good, the lettuce, tomatoes, mild pepper rings and onions were separate. That was different and well acceptable. The food and fries were delicious. My youngest son had pizza rolls for his dinner. They were delicious, hot and had a good serving. Will be back when there is more help. Watched tables seat themselves and employees having trouble due to a...
