TL;DR Good food, bad experience. If the below info is too much for you, don’t waste your time at this CFA - this review won’t even get you through the first half of your wait there. Freddy’s is right down the road, and I hear there’s a Cane’s going in soon, too.
After placing a mobile order around 6:00 PM, we headed to Chick-Fil-A to - you guessed it! - pick up our mobile order… but alas, after following all the signs marked “mobile order pickup” we waited in the designated parking spot for 15-20 minutes… okay, no biggie, we’ll just make awkward eye contact with two of your drive thru staff multiple times… the order must be arriving soon… 5 more minutes later, we decide to drive around again, hoping to find someone to talk to about our order. This time though, a newly-placed cone has popped up in the drive thru lane we had entered through just 20-30 minutes before (the mobile pickup lane)… alright, so I’ll use the “official” (non-mobile order) lanes to get back around the parking lot. Pull into the drive thru, an upbeat young man approaches asking to take my order. I explained to him that I was there to pick up a mobile order but had been shrugged off by the folks at the window. He then explained to me that the mobile order feature is, in fact, not a mobile order feature, it is a mobile QUEUE. This means that you place your order online and then… go through the drive thru… to tell them you want to pickup your food…? Yes, you read that right: you can order ahead to get the food you ordered at the same time you would have gotten it had you just gone through the drive thru in the first place. Makes no sense to me, but the young man seemed to be just as confused as I was with the signs, but initiated the order so I told him no worries and proceeded through the drive thru with cautious optimism that my order would be ready. After ten minutes waiting to get through the rest of the drive thru, I had pretty well lost my appetite for CFA. When I remarked to the folks at the drive thru that I wanted a refund because of how ridiculous it was that they made eye contact with me and my boyfriend multiple times and blew us off several times over the course of a 30 minute ordeal, who I’m assuming to be their manager spent another 5 minutes ringing up the refund, and about halfway through, one of the employees mentions to him that the food is already done, he ignores her, processes the refund and tells me to call back in 1-2 days if the refund doesn’t appear back on the card. Believe me, BELIEVE ME, I know how Karen this sounds right now, but having worked many years in retail, sales, and customer support roles, I am just absolutely ASTONISHED that they didn’t give us the food too… so after all that, we had to go somewhere else to get our dinner, even though we had already burned well over an hour on the CFA route. I will continue to patronize CFA, but I will certainly never make the mistake of coming to the Wentzville...
Read moreI went to lunch on what I thought was going to be a normal chick fil a day but I was so wrong. I ordered my food with such ease through the amazing app I pulled into the chick fil a curbside parking stall and the worker quickly brought me my food when I got my food I had no sauces and no straw for my drink I also ordered Mac n cheese and did not receive a straw, I was puzzled, and at first frustrated but then I reflected on the plaque I have hanging on my living room wall that reads "chick fil a knows best" such a simple phrase but so profound! I then started to scramble around to see what I could learn from this experience... I popped open that small Mac and grabbed one of my steaming hot fries I took the fry and eased it to the cup of Mac I took a scope of Mac on my fry and gobbled it up lickety-split! Then boom the answer came to me! As I was experiencing this jam packed colossal of flavor it all became so clear I started to understand what chick fil a was trying to teach me! It took me back to my primative roots I became one with my inner cave man and it felt good! I ripped open the spicy chicken sand and same thing I enjoyed it so much but so desperately desired that oh so delicious chick fil a sauce 😩 then I remembered I was trying to watch my calorie count and I was almost over for the day but chick fil a knew that before hand and helped me out by not giving me that sauce. The spicy chicken san was dry but the thought of low calorie healthy living put a big smile on my face 🥴 I went to wash it all down but didn't have the straw to my drink, 🤔 the engineer side of me kicked in and I popped off that lid and did what the pioneers did I drank the coke thee ol fashioned way. It felt nice to kick back in the beautiful town of wentslzville with thes layed back county folk. 😎 I'd just like to share my testimony and say the lessons of chick fil a are so beautiful and I'm a better man because of them id just like to finish off by quoting the beautiful plaque on my living room wall by saying "chick fil a...
Read moreAfter placing my order and telling the person taking the order I'm paying with cash I waited in line once I finally reached the window my food was given to me pretty promptly I then had to wait for the employee to get ones so he could give me my change after waiting for that I drove from the drive thru into a parking spot to eat my food. When I opened up the bag and went for my sandwich I realized it was not what I ordered, feeling slightly aggravated but not a huge deal at this point I figured I guess I had to go inside to get what I actually ordered. After waiting in line for several minutes I approached the register when it was my turn and told the employee that I had just came through the drive-thru and that I ordered a chicken sandwich with lettuce and cheese and had received a sandwich with just chicken and pickles. The employee then tells her manager of the situation immediately the manager ask me if I have a receipt. Almost implicating that it was my fault. At this point I was little agitated.. I asked the manager if she would replace the fries since I already had to wait for change and also for them to remake the sandwich. I had ordered a drink to which was sitting out in my car getting watered down but I am somewhat understanding. I assumed they would at least offer to remake the fries for the inconvenience, they did not ask. I had to ask them if they could give me new Fry's. The manager's response was that I should pretty much deal with it because it was on the order. The customer shouldn't have to explain how customer service Works to a manager. I have had similar occurrences happen at other places of business and they usually try and do something to make it right. I had to explain to her that I had been waiting and feel they should replace the Fry's. The manager did replace the fries and apologized but I don't really feel that it was genuine. Come on Chick-fil-A get your...
