McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Wentzville

I called in a carryout order and arrived at the scheduled time. Pulled into the pickup parking spot in front and waited a few minutes. No one came out so I called and was asked to please hold for a minute. Sure. The drive thru was packed. They're busy. I get it. 10 minutes later, still on hold, another customer parks in the other curbside pickup parking and makes thr same call. He's on Speaker phone so I hear the same nice voice ask him to hold for a minute. 10 minutes (20 minutes for me) later he has less patience and calls back. The girl asks if he can please hold. He explains we're waiting on pickup orders and she asks if we can go through the drive thru for pickup. Drive thru is 10 cars deep now. Fine. I'm STILL on hold 15 minutes later (35 minutes now) when I finally reach the window. Turns out they are out of the macaroni and cheese one of kids wanted so she asks if she can substitute apple sauce. I really just want to go home so say fine. She tosses a $1 mini cup of applesauce in the bag, without adjusting the price, and I drive 5 minutes to my house (still on hold). Well apparently they dont place food under a heat lamp when it's ready for pickup because everything is cold. Just sat in a bag on the counter in the store is my guess because I really live 2 miles away. Then 2 of the spicy chicken western sandwiches are made with turkey. Yes theres a difference. I dont want a refund. I dont want a coupon for a free cookie. I want people to know what to expect from McCallisters in Wentzville. I want the manager to know they are either not staffing the store properly for dinner or the employees...

I don't normally do reviews but, I just need to vent!! Wentzville's store drive-thru is the worst. About 10 days ago or so, we went to pickup an order. One person was in line ahead of us. After 8 minutes, still no one came to window to give this man his order. He just kept sitting there. My husband got of car and asked if anyone was helping him, and he said, "no one has come to window, I've been waiting for 5 minutes". My husband knocked on the window for him and came back to our car. He finally got his food & we pull up, with a car behind us. YOU WOULD THINK the employee would have looked to be sure no one else was in line....but NO.......No one is at window. BUT we do see 3 girls leaning against the counter doing absolutely nothing but, talking & laughing. With it being after 8pm the place was almost empty. Totally uncalled for!!!! I honked to get an employees attention. Girl came to window, come to find out she was the manager, yep, she was one of the 3 girls. Don't really need to say anything else about what was said....you finish what you might say. lol Out of 7 visits, counting this one, 4 of the 7 we had to get their attention in order to get waited on. If order is supposed to be ready at 12pm someone should be watching for the customer. They act like there isn't...

A zero star review would be too good for the manager Sean. I came in tonight to pick up a DoorDash delivery, and stood at the counter for a couple of minutes while he took inventory. I tried to get his attention, to which he looked over and then went back to doing whatever it is he was doing. One of his cashiers had to yell for him to get his attention. I said can I get my DoorDash order, he asked me if I could wait. Keep in mind, the customer's order was sitting there waiting to be picked up behind the counter, getting cold, but whatever was in this box he was counting was more important I guess. He finally looked up and puffed and then slammed the order down on the counter, forgetting the woman's drink I was there to pick up. I asked for the drink and then told him sorry to make him do his job. He then chased me outside screaming for me to give him my name. I happily gave it to him, to which he said I'll be sure to call DoorDash and tell them about you. I said by all means, and I'll be sure to contact McAlister's and tell them all about you. I'll also tell every customer I can along with anyone else who will listen that ordering a pick up from this location is not in their...
