Public Service Announcement!!!! Shocked at the deplorable condition of this restaurant. Floors were tremendously slippery because of the thick grease build up, I slid on the nasty floor. The dirt build up on the floors has been building up for a long time. See the greasy floors in the pics! Bathrooms were just as filthy. Windows covered in greasy haze too. Employees preparing our food without gloves, and not wearing masks. The entire place was so dirty. Before we received our food I asked for a refund. The young man, who has worked there for quite some time, said he didn’t know how to refund us but left a note for the GM. They need a serious intervention to get this place in the condition it needs to be in order to serve food to the public. Oh and BTW place was NOT busy enough to warrant the lack of attention to cleaning. So gross!! Called about my refund status today and a RUDE person Jacob told me that I would have to drive back to get my refund. Anyways I have put a call out to corporate and to the Dept of Health! Also received call from the GM Dietrick-seemed not too concerned about that disgusting condition of the restaurant but he was more concerned about the refund. I told him to mail it!!! I just can’t get it out of my mind!

It’s been a long while since I had visited the establishment as things have changed a bit on appearances. Looks like it’s has new ownership. The Brisket was excellent as were the sides. Service was also on point as it looks to be a family run franchise. I will only critique the cleanliness as the place could use some new furniture and floors along with a deep cleaning. One other point was that it was a bit warm in the place to dine in but I do understand that it was one the hottest days of the year(4th of July 23) and the broiler is right behind the register pumping out heat. All in all, a decent experience although the prices have gone up by 30-40% in the past 7yrs which is to be expected under current climate.

Extremely underwhelming and overpriced. We ordered two 2-meat platters, one with brisket and pulled pork and one with brisket and turkey. All of the meat was nearly flavorless and had ZERO seasoning. The Mac and cheese tasted like it came out of the frozen section, and the fried okra was not crunchy. The only thing seasoned was the fries, however they were pretty floppy. We also got the Blondie/brownie for dessert, which had the texture and flavor or a cosmic brownie. The bread that came with our meals was literally just a slice of bread and not toasted. And all of this was $32 with a 20% discount! Don’t even bother trying to eat food from here.

I placed a pickup order online for over 80 dollars worth of food. I ordered ahead from home before arriving 25 min later. I pull up to the drive thru, and no one greets me. After a few minutes, I pulled up to the window and called to let someone know I was there for my order. When someone comes to the window, he states, "we are out off ribs and can't complete your order." I said okay, well, just give me a refund for my order. He then says we have the other items, and I said that I prefer to have a refund of my whole order. I did not just want sides. Every meal I ordered had ribs. So then he says, "Well, you will have to refund online." I said no, I placed my order on your website directly, so you should be able to refund my order at the store. So he goes away from the window. Never comes back. I pull around to the front and go inside. There are only 2 guys there making orders. After he's done making someone's order, I ask if I can have my refund so that I can be on my way. He tells me to wait a minute. So I waited. Once he's done making another person's order, I ask again when I can have my refund? He says I'm making your order right now. So, im extremely confused as to why is he making my order when he said they were out of ribs, and I requested a refund. I said wait so you do have ribs? He begins to talk loudly over me and points around the restaurant, showing how busy they have been all day. I said you being busy is not the issue here. You told me you were out of ribs and could not make my order. So do you or don't you have ribs? Also, why are you making my order when I requested a refund. He refused to refund me and decided to make my order! So he essentially lied because he didn't want to make my order! Never answered why he told me that at the window. Also, he never communicated to me that he would make the order anyway. He also was making and packing orders while using black gloves. Opening a can of green beans, that he only cooked for 3 minutes. I watched him use gloves to grab a lighter to light the fire on the stove to warm, not cook green beans! Then, come back to the counter wearing the same gloves to prepare the order. By the way.. texas toast is only a piece of bread they toast. Do not order the extra bread you can have at home! This place is disgusting, rude, and unprofessional. I would not recommend it and will never return. The way he spoke to me showed poor customer service, lying, not communicating, choosing to do what he wanted to do after requesting a refund, and not clean! The kitchen and stove looked awful! Do not go to...

I went in on a Monday around 1:20. There were 2 tables occupied so it was kind of slow but lunch rush might have just been over. Every single table was dirty and had not been cleaned. The ice machine was broke so there was no ice for a cold drink until the manager returned from the store to buy more. I got just a pork sandwich combo and the bun was not quite stale but wasn't fresh by any means. The green beans were literally just canned green beans warmed up. I have not been to Dickies in several years as I do not work in the area any longer but they used to be slow cooked with onions and pork to add extra flavor. What I got was standard canned green beans heated on a line, ok but I expect a bit more. I had to ask for bbq sauce as they no longer have it warmed and serve yourself. I am guessing due to covid and that is fine however I was given sauce in a container that was frigerated. Who wants cold sauce on their hot bbq sandwich? The fries were hot and were good, however the pork itself was bland. The tables all had a cardboard advertisement on them and I could not help but notice the dust layer sticking to the entire thing. The original owners took pride in their establishment and it was always extremely clean and well taken care of. Since they sold it this place has gone severely downhill. I hate to see a business fail but it seems the current owners or their management team takes no pride in the establishment judging by how dirty it was........... As a side note the tile job there is horrendous and their floor is going to fail. I can see where they spread thin set with a V-notch trowel then it should have been a 3/8" trowel for the size of tile they have. The lines are terribly crooked and the amount of grout haze and excess grout not cleaned off the tile when it was installed is some of the worst I have seen. Tiles are already cracking due to not having proper coverage due to poor installation. That floor is already failing and will need to be entirely replaced within a year or two. I looks like you just paid employees with zero experience to lay it after hours, at least that is what I hope as if you paid a tile company to do that they should have any licenses they have revoked and...

I used to be a consistent customer at Dickies but the quality food and options have gone down hill every year. This particular store owner really isn't to blame for the food that is supplied. The store is really clean and service is great. I would Annual buy a turkey from Dickies for my work holiday potluck. The Cajun Turkey that's about $80 was my preference. I wouldn't mind paying $80 because it was a well seasoned Cajun turkey and the meat just fell off the bone... Delicious. This year I did the same however: I had to "heat" the turkey. Which was fine I have no qualms heating a pre-cooked or smoked turkey. When I opened the bag it was not a Cajun turkey... There were no spices nothing. It looked like a raw turkey. Still fine maybe they soaked it in Cake n spices and I just couldn't see it. After cooking the turkey it didn't smell Cajun. I took a piece and it tasted like regular turkey. I called the store who then called the supplier and they said that's a Cajun turkey it's just done differently to how it was before. :/ By this time I I had no choice the party was in 15 mins and I had to just take the turkey I promised (now a non Cajun turkey. When I got home I checked the website for price difference. Because if the other holiday turkeys cost the same then no worries, right! The Cajun turkey was the most expensive. Also the other turkey they offered was a smoked turkey... I did not get a smoked turkey. I may have gotten a turkey soaked in brine. I could have just bought a $15 turkey and cooked it myself if that was all I was getting. I will NEVER buy a holiday turkey from Dickies again. If thata what you get when you order a smoked or Cajun turkey the website is deceiving. If that wasn't what I was supposed to get then the supplier is deceiving... Either way it is not...
