I heard good things but was disappointed today on my first visit. I like live music but this was way too loud for the space. The beer is good, no doubt, but the food and service was poor. A limited menu is fine but not having the materials for over half of that menu does not represent the place well. My friend ordered sausage only to have pulled pork made for him since they did not have any more sausage. Instead of figuring out something else, they made the sandwich before checking in with us. The cheesy tots were low quality. Soft, tasteless tots that only had a little cheese on the top and middle section of the plate, after it appeared they forgot about that part of the order, as I watched them remind each other about the order and started it well after other orders made after mine were filled. Had to check the bar repeatedly to see if our food was ready instead of being notified, as filled orders are just placed on the bar for patrons to retrieve, without any indication the food is ready.
It seems like a well liked spot with a local bar feel. It seems like maybe a bad night with a few out of the ordinary things going on. Not out on the place after one try but first impressions...
Read moreSome friends and I popped in here on our way to a tubing trip on the Brandywine and horribly misjudged how much time we had to spend there during our visit. We had all of 20 minutes to have a beer and order food but the staff were absolutely amazing and prepped our food, which was delicious, with amazing speed and skill and then wrapped it in foil so we could take it to go. I ordered a flight and a pretzel and all of it was great! We learned that the brewery also hosts D&D and Magic the gathering games regularly which we hope to check out some time soon. They even offered us a few samples of their Oktoberfest which was delicious and made perfectly to style. Will definitely be back for the beer, food, and good people in the future! Thank you for the kindness and the...
Read moreEasy drinking brews. I love that they offer flights. Three stars because they got rid of their pizzas and replaced it with flatbreads, which are good if you never tried their original pizzas. The original personal sized pizzas were AMAZING. Just burned enough, great undercarriage, the pepperoni on the top had crispy edges and now they are gone 🥺. I traveled from KoP -which isn’t far, but we were disappointed to find they no longer serve those yummy pizzas anymore. Out of all the pizza places we could have gone too, they used to have really great pizza. I just found out Wrong Crowd Brewery has pizzas that I will need to try then next time I’m in town! I also heard the new renovated RamsHead will also offer pizza. I’ll come back when those perfectly made...
