Terrible.. cried on my wedding day.

We ordered the Eagles cake that this bakery went viral for and was recognized on multiple News stations. Half was supposed to be the Eagles cake, other half was to be a rustic design with our bridal color for flowers (blue/green NOT dark blue). There is NO excuse for the cake we received!!! The colors were WRONG, the fondant work was amateur, the lettering looked like it wasn’t done by a professional, the ruffles that didn’t fall off the cake, were uneven and sloppy!! Seeing that mess upset me, my husband, and our families to tears. My husband couldn’t even enjoy his groomsmen suite/time to celebrate with his groomsmen because he was so upset and trying to make sure their carelessness and ignorance was corrected for our dream wedding. I couldn’t enjoy my bridal suite and special moments with my bridesmaids and mother cause we were so upset. It was so unprofessional and inexcusable!!! Masters Baker should have SEEN the HUGE PROBLEMS and they didn’t do that and they ruined all our before ceremony celebrations. When my mother contacted the baker to come back out, the flowers and cracks were fixed, however, the fondant coloring and Eagles head were still not done to the design that we discussed months prior. For a cake that the bakery went viral for, being disappointed is an understatement. Even after the designer came out to attempt a fix, they didn’t even wear gloves. Their employees bare hands were all over our cake, wiping the fondant off on their clothes. Pushing their hair back and touching the cake, icing etc... Disgusting!!! In front of the hotel management, and family and friends!!! The cake fell apart during our cake cutting and most guests didn’t eat the cake due to all these issues.

I have spoken to the owner Chad about this, and was offered a refund of the upgrade fee we were charged. However, I am in contact with our wedding planner and am hoping to get a full refund since this is nothing of what we ordered and the emotional disaster that came with our special day.

I would not recommend at this point. If I can attach pictures, I will!! Hopefully this issue is completely rectified and made right, although we cannot undo the damage on the day.

*Edited to add as a reply to owner: The light green field fondant, sloppy field goal post and 3 year old writing of our last name did not happen on the ride over. Neither did the incorrect eagle (should not have been printed on like a cheap bakery). MOB shouldn’t have cursed and yelled, but for her daughters big day with dream cake, her reaction is understandable. I’ll stop replying now, but wanted to ensure future customers are fully aware and that you should own ALL your mistakes, not just that you got our color wrong on...

$600 Wedding Cake Flop. We were given a basic wedding cake when we paid for an upgrade. We didn’t find out until we walked into the reception that our wedding cake was completely wrong.

We had our design consultation with the master baker where we met with Steve who showed us all of the designs that were available for our wedding cake. We selected the cake flavors as well as the cake design. We did not like the basic designs that were included with our package, so we paid an upgrade charge in order to have the design that we loved for our wedding. Steve confirmed that we would get our design in the colors that we wanted. At our wedding, walking into our reception hall for the first time, we see the cake and realize immediately that they just gave us a basic design and did not apply the upgraded design that we paid for. We were so disappointed because we felt that the basic design was just that - basic. It didn’t match anything in our wedding. When we contacted the bakery, we got an email back from Chad that we needed to prove with photos that the cake was not as we agreed-upon and send proof that we did indeed tell them what design we really wanted. I was able to dig up photos from my family asking them for pictures that they would’ve taken of the cake and I went back through my emails to find confirmation from Steve that he understood what my design should be. A week later we heard back from Chad and he gave us only our upgrade fee back and said that they were sorry. It was very frustrating to pay for a $600 cake, have to argue for the partial refund that we paid to upgrade the cake, and still we did not get the cake that we were promised on our wedding day. Attention to detail, looking at the website for this Bakery I see that they have done amazing work in the past however September 4th one of the biggest events of a person's life was treated as an everyday cake. A wedding cake was ordered upon arrival the delivery person was made aware that the color was completely wrong, instead of instantly getting in touch with whoever is in charge I feel like the blame game began. The wedding was starting in less than an hour so of course nothing major could be done however the couple contacted the bakery after a game of who did it they owned the mistake of incorrect color however again nothing was done. Well let me not say nothing from a package of $700 plus dollars they were told that they would receive a refund of $75 for a wedding cake mess up. That was only the first of the troubles with this cake. After cutting into the cake we realized that the cake was a doctored box cake, again there's absolutely nothing wrong if that is how the bakery makes their cakes but let us keep in mind here that this is a wedding, the cake was as dry as a 4-day-old cake . The last point that I would like to draw attention to is the difference in the picture shown to the bakery and what they receive the layers of the cake will completely uneven and did not match the image, in the image presented to the bakery there was at least four layers in each stack of cakes to present a higher more elegant cake obviously they did not follow the picture that was presented.
