My fiancé came to visit me in Chicago from Vancouver. On July 23, 2017, before we went to board our train, she ate Chipotle Mexican Grill at the location on 525 W Monroe St L1A, Chicago, IL 60661 and became ill a few hours later. Fortunately, I did not eat here. She ordered a soffritas bowl. She did not recover until she took the antibiotic Cipro. She came to visit me for a week and she remained ill for three days because of Chipotle’s food. We were supposed to go shopping and visit other attractions around Illinois and could not because she was weak as can be. She spent most of her vacation on the toilet and in bed.
I am here to raise awareness of this issue to you and the mishandling of this issue. I tried to get compensated for lost time resulting from Chipotle, but no one from Chipotle took my story seriously. I inquired online and was referred to a woman named Haleigh, who mocked my issue and showed no empathy whatsoever. She really didn’t care for my finance’s illness or how this outbreak could have been prevented so others are not affected. She was arguing with me the entire time I was on the phone with her, telling me that Chipotle did not get my fiancé ill. Her team did not follow-up with me or my fiance after the fact, probably thinking they got away with mistreating and poisoning a customer.
I would like to request everyone not to eat at this or any Chipotle restaurants in the future. It is quite self-evident that they do not care for their customers at all. Moreover, I would like to request all investors to take divert their funds away from Chipotle as I’m sure their stock price will plummet due to lack of sales from their illness causing food and lack of customer service, appreciation, empathy. This company no longer has the values...
Read moreMy experiences at all chipotles have been wonderful including ones out of the state. This location is one that I have had the most trouble with. I came here once and there were fruit flies all over the place I tried to eat my food peacefully despite that up until I almost one of the fruit flies and i then asked for my bowl to be re-done and asked for it to go. I left that situation be and decided to go back in today and I had just gotten off my OWN restaurant job. I know how customers can be so I have a lot of respect for those in food service. There was only a little bit of chicken left in the container so I said can I get a little bit more of the chicken and a guy behind me who was sweeping (im assuming the manager or shift lead) said don’t worry about it ma’am they’re bringing a new batch of chicken I’ll make sure they put a bit more on there for you I said thank you and this girl comes from the back asking what condiments I would like and i said oh I’m waiting for the chicken because i wanted a bit more on there and she was basically saying I couldn’t have any. I explained to her I basically got chicken crumbs and she said no. I could’ve payed for extra if that is what she was saying but she immediately was speaking to me with attitude and I’m sure all of the employees noticed because they were just starring at her. I would like for something to be...
Read moreCustomer Service was TERRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE. Whoever Is Over the Staff that was there on June 5th @ 6:00 PM. Should do an ENTIRE RESWAP of the staff IMMEDIATELY. That entire staff is going to ruin the revenue coming into your company, i promise you.
First of all, once you come in , their uniforms look disgusting and they look extremely dirty, everyone isn’t wearing gloves, and i feel as if they should wear mask because the women that said she was the manager breath was smelling from over the counter and I was terrified she would spit in my bowl. Also, she was wearing the same shirt as the other employees so I feel as if she was lying about her position. No way to properly separate her from the other staff.
It’s just unacceptable that the entire staff is rude and disgusting looking. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and ignore the bad reviews but The reviews are true. YUCK, I’ll never go here again and I’m letting all my rich clientele know about this. Also I will be calling corporate first thing in...
