I hate to be a downer because I love their food. So I'll start out by saying the food and it's quality are always superb. My issue with restaurant is the accuracy and level of service. I used one of order ahead services (Allset) so I could pick my food up at a specific time (11:30), but when I arrived (I was even a few minutes late) my order was not ready. I waited a few minutes to be helped and then when I told the girl at the register that I was there to get my Allset order she told the guy at start of the food prep station that I was there for the Allset. He took care of quite a few customers before finally grabbing the paper with my order details and starting the order. I had paid for extra chicken on my sandwich which was not put on there (I had to mention I got an extra protein) and then he proceeded to put hummus on it which I specifically put in the order details that I did not want on it. I was already in a hurry so I didn't even bother asking him to start over. It was 11:50 when I walked out. I just feel that if they are going to partner with a good service, then the time commitment should be honored and they should pay attention to the details of the order. Otherwise why am I bothering to put order instructions or using this time saving service in the first place. It was at no fault of the Allset company as they had notified me that they tried to contact the restaurant numerous times prior to my arrival to make sure the order went through and would be ready on time. And, again they had my order sheet sitting there on the counter when I arrived, they just had not filled it. So bottom line is just go in and order and you'll most likely enjoy the food and be able to get an accurate order. Think twice about using the meal ready service at...
Read moreI have been to I Dream of Falafel two times now, and I will NOT be returning. First of all, the food is good. But if time after time you can NOT get your order the way you want, then what's the point. The first time I was there, I had ordered the IDOF falafel. I was zoomed through the serving line so quickly and rudely that what I ended up with was NOT the IDOF falafel as far as the toppings were concerned. The second time I went I got the vegan plate, which on the menu includes pita. When I got to the point of paying for my order, I had to specifically ASK for the pita which was supposed to be included. I got 1/2 piece of pita for a whole plate. When I asked if it was possible to get some more, I was told it would cost extra. There's nothing on the menu, either at the store or online, about pita costing more, or how much it is. I can understand that speed is important during lunch in the loop. But when you are rushed through so fast and rudely that no one will pay attention to what you're attempting to order, and one is charged for what should be included in an order (the pita), forget it. I will...
Read moreGood name for a place. After you leave you will dream of Falafel (or the protein you chose) cause the amount is small. Flavor-wise, the food is decent. I took Chicken Shwarma which tasted fine (pretty much like Naf Naf), but I just don't like that they give so little. I would estimate the protein size to be around 2 ounces. Not enough for an adult. The rest was fine. Rice was okay, toppings are average (some were not very fresh, but you'd expect that from a fast food place). I took a side of Hummus which was so so, but the pita bread that came with it was surprisingly good actually. Fresh and big and warm. Overall this review can change to 4 stars very quickly if they put more meat cause I feel that it was the least amount of meat of any fast food place I...
