I was first introduced to Firenze Italian Street Food from a friend who had a great experience after he stopped by last month. I’ve been visiting for the past few weeks about twice a week, and have enjoyed the atmosphere here as well as their unique crunchy chips. Last night I had their pesto sandwich for the first time and the bread tasted really hard. I found myself disappointed with the quality of the bread, though the other ingredients were freshly made. It was difficult to consume, though. I really wanted to love this place, as it is well-run and well-kept.

Wow, a classic sandwich made with quality ingredients, the prosciutto/mozzarella/arugula just hits all the right notes. The bread on the sandwich is outstanding, crispy with a little fluff on the inside and great structural integrity to make a sandwich with! Also, customer service was amazing, I was having difficulty with my door dash app & confirming my order. My phone call was answered promptly and they made sure I got my order quickly despite the problems with the app!

The spicy soppressata is the one sandwich that is advertised with a photo at the front of their stand. The picture shows a thick layer of creamy ricotta. The reality, there’s absolutely no ricotta to be seen. The sandwich is therefore extremely dry and leaves you absolutely craving the creamy ricotta. The rest of the ingredients are fine, the soppressata is good, not enough arugula. Just a disappointment, had the potential to be a new favorite sandwich spot.

Supposedly, it’s a Turkey Sandwich….but it’s more of a pesto, arugula and tomato sandwich. There’s like a very thin slice and a half of turkey stretched across a big square ciabatta bread. I will say that what ingredients are on there are fresh. Another matter: I ordered using my cell beforehand. I received a text that my order was ready for pick up. I arrive and ask if there’s an order for me and they said No. Then they’re calling out a Turkey Sandwich … I ask is that mine and they said No. They proceed to ask me what I ordered and I replied a Turkey sandwich and chips. I ask, should I take that sandwich? “NO!” Ok, no problem. They proceed to call out “Turkey Sandwich “ and then the same person says, this is your sandwich Ma’am. I reply, ‘but your Chef just told me NOT to take it.’ It’s yours Ma’am. WTH???!!! Get your act...

I stopped by a random company meeting over the summer that had chosen Firenze for catering and I could not be happier that I did. It was my first time having their sandwiches and I have been a fan since. I truly think these are the best Italian sandwiches I have ever had and certainly the best in the Loop. The bread is outstanding and brings the flavors of the sandwich to the next level. I don't even have a favorite because everything I've tried has been AMAZING. I continue to use their catering services for work and have only received positive reviews from my coworkers. You will not regret ordering anything...

I have to say, I am extremely impressed with Firenze’s customer service—they have gone above and beyond in this regard. There was a day some time ago where I ordered lunch here, but had my order canceled because the booth was moving but didn’t know.

I thought nothing else of it, but a few months later, someone from their team messaged me about my canceled order and wanted to make things right. They offered to cater sandwiches for me and my coworkers which is the best customer service I have ever experienced and the food was amazing!

Cannot say enough good things about Firenze and...
