Park Tavern on Jackson Blvd is a wonderful restaurant and bar in the city! The food selection is absolutely wonderful, with daily lunch specials that delight every palate. One standout is their Thursday $8 specialty burger, a deal that's hard to resist. As soon as the lunch specials end, the happy hour deals kick in, making it a perfect spot for an after-work unwind.
The drink selection here is phenomenal. With a very large central bar and additional side bars, there’s no shortage of options or space to enjoy your favorite drinks. The seating arrangements are just as impressive, making Park Tavern ideal for lunch, dinner, or hosting events, thanks to their multiple event spaces.
The outdoor space adds another layer of charm to Park Tavern. Equipped with another bar, it's a fantastic area to enjoy the weather, play some bags, and simply chill out.
When it comes to food, everything I've tried has been wonderful. The animal tots, footlong grilled cheese, calamari, club sandwich, and meatball sub are all highly recommended. For those looking for healthier options, their salads are exceptional and can be customized with a variety of proteins.
Special perks at Park Tavern include $6 valet service on certain days and a convenient shuttle to the United Center on game nights, making it a breeze to enjoy a night out without worrying about parking or transportation.
Overall, Park Tavern is an excellent bar and offers an incredibly enjoyable experience. I can't wait to get pictures of my food next time – I was just too hungry to wait this...
Read moreTerrible, terrible, terrible service. Everything was just so painfully slow (drinks, ordering food, receiving our food, asking for napkins, getting our checks and even paying) that i was fuming by the time I left. We went on Thursday night with a very large group for a birthday(we had reservations) but the rest of the place was rather dead. I could understand the slow service if it was packed but the inside was empty and not that many people were outside. The waitress had zero personality-didn't even say happy birthday to the birthday girl and seems like she had zero energy. She kept screwing up everyone's order and even forgot to take my friend's food order till I chased her down. Getting drinks was like asking for an organ donation. The bathroom were disgusting for a Thursday night at 7pm -diarrhea all over the first stall, un flushed toilets, no toilet paper, soap dispensers had no soap, empty hand towels, over flowing trash cans, the sink top had water all over it. Ewe, just gross We had to wait about 20+ mins to get our checks-most of them were screwed up and had to be fixed. That being said-the place is really cool & decorated nicely- our weather was just perfect and the outside is really nice with bags sets, a fire pit, tons of seating, a grass area, and parking was easy to find. I got wings and they were awesome. The tacos I got were not great but the rest of my friends really enjoyed their food. It's a shame the service was so bad because that place...
Read morePark Tavern is located near the United Center; right now it is only open when there is an event at the United Center. They still run a shuttle for guests to and from the UC. Be careful, however, because the shuttle driver does not pick you up exactly where he says he will pick you up. He'll park it half a block away and when you start to head over to get on the shuttle he drives away.
The food is (and always has been) very good. When we last visited before a Blackhawks game on Sunday February 20th, the place was crowded. We ordered the firecracker shrimp as an appetizer -- it was great. For our entree, we both ordered fish and chips. The fish was delicious. The fries were barely warm I asked the manager if he could bring us some warm fries and he brought them out right away but they were only slightly warmer. Oh well.
The staff here is fantastic. They're always friendly even though the are very busy; they do a great job given that they are only open limited hours and days right now. That's why we gave them a break with respect to the not so warm French fries.
We recommend...
