Potbelly — Restaurant in West Chicago Township

The good folks behind the counter here consistently deliver great service to the hungry masses streaming through the door. This Potbelly definitely gets socked at lunchtime, so open tables and long lines become an issue, but 10 points to whoever dispatched a tablet-bearing employee to take patrons' orders before they ever reach the counter! That way their sammitch will be nice and toasted by the time they reach the counter.

They occasionally have live music here. But hearing live music on a weekday just makes me wish I was having a beer at 5pm rather than a sandwich at noon.

Of all the lunch options in the area, Potbelly is my fave in terms of service, food options, and price. Expert tip: if you can stave off hunger till 130-200, that's when the line is shortest, and that's when you'll catch me...

Stopped in for a sandwich and soup. Bread was "toasted" but somehow soggy in the interior. Soup was scalding hot and I had to pour water into it to cool it down. 2 restrooms: one marked out of service. Asked for the key for the other door, per the sign and was told no key was needed and it was only locked if occupied. Waited 15 min and no one exited so asked once again only to be told the work restroom was reserved for employees. So basically the employees lure you into buying food thinking you can use their facilities and they dont want to share their personal restroom that they do not mark as such. Literally 10 people enquired about the locked restoom while we were eating...

I’m often not compelled to write a negative review, but this was truly a terrible experience, and I would like to be contacted by Potbelly management to remedy this. I arrived to pick up my order which was estimated for 11:49, after placing the order 10 min prior. It was understandably busy, but the cashier was rude and dismissive. After a bunch of orders started piling up behind her, she finally brought them over to the shelf at 12:04pm—making me late for my meeting. My sandwich did not contain the bacon that I paid an additional $2.69 for. When I called to address this issue, no one picked up the phone, hence no one can refund me for the issue...
